@Bixi - You listed a professional therapist. I see one and I don't pay anything for it until the day we meet. Which restaurant requires you to do pay in advance when reserving a table?
What a strange convo this has become, just from one person losing their perspective? the best I can tell. If I read this tomorrow, maybe I will see some subtle needling? or something on the part of the ones of us that are making sense, but I doubt it. And none of us know what has transpired in PMs. But I now know another pro that I would not want to hire or even be around in a group.
I also know some pros (only female at this point) that I will hire if I get that much discretionary income. And I would have no problem paying them a deposit cause I am capable of doing sufficient vetting. And their good reputations precede them:)
@achetocuddle - Apparently, I've been living under a rock because of all these things that normal guys do that require an advance deposit. At the end of the day, I don't care how pros choose to conduct their business.... it's just this argument of why every guy should be okay with it is a little silly.
@Mike403 I'm frankly done indulging your contrarian nature & offering multiple examples you like to focus in on one & attempt to "poorly" discredit as if your opinion or secular experience is the standard for everyone else or the cases THAT protocol DOES occur.
Also stated a multitude of times NO ONE IS OBLIGATED TO DO ANYTHING, however the deposit concept IS NOT foreign or limited to only FEMALE Pros...

As someone with karma, a growing clientele, & prior experience cuddling & other platonic services prior to this site - as well as a SUCCESSFUL small business owner of several ventures with over a decade's worth of experience in Management/Operations of many businesses & services - I'm well within my depths to offer accurate insight & information if people actually care to be receptive to new information when asking their questions & making suppositions.
It's up to Pros to decide to charge a deposit. It is every client's right to not engage with those Pros. The door swings both ways. [-Sid]
Men don't give a damn about her? What? I didn't realize this was gonna turn into a men hating thread.
@Mike403 Reading. Comprehension. That is not what I said to that lady. Move along.
Oh, but you did. You're in timeout. [-Sid]
@Bixi - lmao. Nice edit.
I'm not seeing that anything can be said or done to make Bixi happy. I did not tag her to try to not make her unhappy. If I had tagged her she would not like that. Hopefully publicly writing me off as pandering to men (not sure how that was determined) who don't care about me and saying I have done this thing could be due to me being sad or old, will satisfy her, but I won't hold my breath.
@Mike403 the only thing I added was her well being.
Nice try to create unnecessary discord. ๐

I wish a mod would have stepped in and closed this thread so I wasn't tempted to waste so much energy. It's an addiction.

"I'm not surprised mostly males have an issue with a deposit. You guys pay deposit for barbers & many other professional services - this is no different. If you book & waste someone's time, need an excessive amount of rescheduling, or cancel, the Pro absolutely deserves to be compensated for that issue & prevention of booking another potential client."
This really got y'all heated. Still stand by it. The accuracy... lol
1 of many comments of the similar posted by a male "As a guy with little to no self-esteem, showing an interest in me, even for just cuddles, makes me suspect a trap of some sort."
My reply to that, also similar to responses posted by other females that triggered y'all, really? Okay... lol "Seems like a lot of males red flags are their own insecurity & anyone that shows them any sort of attention or kindness... So if you want someone to be mean to you or ignore you & why are y'all even on a cuddle site unless your intentions are sinister or you're here to lurk..? That's like going to a party for the food. You serve no purpose here. Maybe address your social & mental issues & insecurities before projecting them on others.."
Still stand by that also.๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
Another remark, still valid... Why are you offended exactly? "Paying to reserve your desired time slot isn't a foreign concept or a bad one. I charge my customers deposits on commissions & deposits to reserve items I haven't released yet for my small business.
So if your intentions are good, pay the deposit & don't cry about it or demonize one of the ways professionals/women protect their time or self."
Make it make sense. ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ
@achetocuddle Is awesome! Just wanted to add that. She has quite the wry humor too!
@Bixi Your small business, your rules!
@Mike403 Your consumerism, your choice and principles.
All good peeps.
I never once demonized it. I said and even encourage pros to do whatever they feel necessary to protect themselves. You just made it seem like that any guy who disagrees has dishonorable intentions. I dont cry about it. I just don't book the pro if I don't agree with something.
@cylee1180 You are sweet to say so, but I already knew I am good people. Lol. I do have wry humor and many other good attributes. I hope you don't feel pandered to or sucked up to cause I said you were sweet. You really are sweet
๐๐ผ... ๐๐ผ... ๐๐ผ...
@cylee1180 period. lol
@achetocuddle Reported, reviewed. Personal attacks are not allowed. [-Sid]
@Mike403 I didn't make it seem that way, you comprehended it that way. That's not what I said in any way.
"I'm big on respect, reciprocity, & safety. Main take away is if your intentions as a cuddler are pure & the Professional is platonic & has positive karma, a deposit shouldn't offend you. Someone protecting their self & their time is not a bad thing or a direct attack upon your personhood. You're not obligated book with them just like they're not obligated to waste their time or cuddle you for free."
@Bixi people can either pay a deposit or choose not to. You require one. Awesome. It isnt cool to fight it out with those who choose not to. They have a right to refuse , just like you have a right to not accept their booking request.
As for the matter of men and their red flags being based on insecurities. Maybe so,maybe not. However if someone does have insecurities and hesitations, they are still just as welcome as you are. No need in calling it out as something to be ridiculed. These things are often deep seeded and come from years of experiences .that shape who a person is. Perhaps being on here is a step in the direction towards helping.them to get past some of their insecurities and hesitations. I would like to think that enough positive experiences can go a long way in changing someome for the better.
@cylee1180 @Mike403 Good night. Sweet dreams.
@pmvines any argument here was not about them choosing not to, it was about invalid suppositions & disparaging remarks about only the females that require this (men do as well!), so please reread whatever you got wrong to warrant that retort.
Again: "I'm big on respect, reciprocity, & safety.
Also: "Also stated a multitude of times NO ONE IS OBLIGATED TO DO ANYTHING, however the deposit concept IS NOT foreign or limited to only FEMALE Pros..."
I'm done repeating that & it's been reposted. ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ
They stated their selves that very thing, so there's no maybe about it, posted by a male: "As a guy with little to no self-esteem, showing an interest in me, even for just cuddles, makes me suspect a trap of some sort."
Odd๐
No one is telling anyone they're not welcome here... Um.. ๐ฎโ๐จ Someone insinuated I needed to be silenced by a moderator, so don't be a hypocrite. ๐
If you have mental issues that make you paranoid & problematic, you probably SHOULD NOT be on here, especially if you have 0 intentions to actually use the site for its intended purpose - but I never dismissed anyone from the site. Dig?
If someone continues personal attacks, they probably are on a site they shouldn't be. Just sayin'. Your toxicity and argumentative miasma has poisoned this thread, which I'm closing. [-Sid]
Reading & comprehension IS IMPORTANT.
Yes it is. Go back and read the forum rules. If I have to deal with you again I'm banning you, @Bixi . [-Sid]
@pmvines Thanks for your post. Nighty night. Sleep well.
Goodnight to everyone except petty people that foster discord & pander to gain favor. ๐
Lots of walking red flags & easily triggered people that need to seek appointments of a different professional nature expeditiously.
Thank you to those that have sent kind intelligible messages & have booked or plan to book with me when in my neck of the woods & time permits.
I guess this exchange wasn't a large waste.๐
You have wasted MY time. Now you pay the piper in timeout, your account is flagged for future infractions, and hell hath no fury like a mod with 1/2 a cup of coffee. [-Sid]
@Bixi - it's not a crime to look at somebody's profile on social media sites and it's very strange that you would point that out publicly that she clicked on your profile.
New red flags unlocked: unnecessary white knighting, excessive pandering, forced miscommunication & ignorance when information is easily accessible, self-victimization, pot stirrers, contradictory & contrarian sorts
๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ
Pros who insist their way is the only way. That's another red flag for clients. [-Sid]
@Bixi The fact that you would judge someone for being wary of having to make a deposit days before a mutual transaction is absurd. If you just met someone and they asked for that, you'd have every right to wonder if they would actually show up after you paid them. If they are an established pro, that's different, if they have no Karma and have been here for years, that's suspicious! Literally no Barber shops ask for that! Fair transactions are when the money and the service are exchanged at the same time, otherwise it puts someone in a disadvantage.
