"Your internet appears to be down"?

I keep getting this message. Wouldn't I need an internet connection for this page to load?

    I got that message too. I figured it was me or the chromebook, Lol. It never occurred to me it might be a glitch here.

    I get it on rare occasions, too. Refreshing the page always makes it load, but yes, weird.

    If they preload that and your internet actually goes down after that happens you could get that while having no connection. That being said, it's this site being funky every time I see that message.
