@ubergigglefritz - It's just the boundary that they have that I respect. Women get flooded with messages on dating sites and they are just trying to cut down on it a little bit. It's their stupid AI that bans people for being blocked too many times when all they did was say "hi" to them.

  • edited July 2022

I'd say some people block because they don't want read opinions which differ from their own. I've had people whose profiles I never visited send me a PM about something i posted and when I went to check their profile I was blocked. I'll never understand that. I never want to be so wrapped in an echo chamber bubble that I can't handle different opinions. But since blocked members' posts can still be read that doesn't make much sense unless the person blocking isn't aware of that. Or as was alluded to earlier in this thread they block, and further let you know they blocked, as an act of aggression. I say if you block someone you shouldn't see their posts and they shouldn't see yours.

  • Overall, I think CuddleComfort is a very well run website. I do not have any experience running a website, so I know there are things that I don't know about it.

    1) I'm sure this has been discussed before, but it seems to me, CuddleComfort should offer an optional paid membership. The fee should be just high enough to screen out the unserious. I'm not sure what that fee would be: $10-$20/month, perhaps? Of course, the free membership side would continue just as it is now.

A paid member's profile/messages would be be marked as such, and pros could filter their inbox to just receive paid members messages, if they so choose. This would be one way to reduce the flood of messages that many women receive.

    2) The way the word "professional" is used on here by some women is laughable. Therefore, the percentage that Pros pay to the website should based on experience. CuddleComfort should get a higher percentage from newbie "Pros" than from those experienced Pros who have had time to perfect the art of cuddling. I'm a strong believer in market forces, so Pros can set whatever price they want, but I think this would help cut down on the fly-by-night newbie "Pros" who are only here to make a quick buck and largely ignore the art of human connection and cuddling itself.

The higher percentage rate from newbie "Pros" would cut down on the number unserious providers, while the lower percentage rate rewards the experienced Pros who are likely booking more clients/repeat clients and bringing in more overall revenue for the website.

I'm sure I'll have more brilliant ideas to share soon...

  • A calling feature would be nice or even video calling access without having to give out your personal information

  • I would love if the site would warm up my coffee

  • I don't think clients should be able to meet with two pros at once. I've been noticing a lot more lately that I'm getting asked to meet a client the same time as another pro so we can both cuddle them but I feel like this is extremely unprofessional, inappropriate and someone in the group is bound to get uncomfortable and not speak up.

    @Skyley
If they are being forth coming about wanting to book 2/3/4 pros at once when they are booking with you to gauge your interest, then it should be a non issue. You're welcome to decline. Some pros are very comfortable with double cuddles or cuddle parties as long as they are made aware at the time of booking to ensure they are on the same page as all the other parties involved about consent and boundaries.

  • Multi pro cuddles are fine with consent. There's nothing like being the middle spoon. I can understand people wanting to pay for it if they can afford it. 😇

  • I have seen professionals who have a friend professional that they work with, and offer 'double cuddles' as an explicit service.

edited to fix a typo ~ whoops!

I'd like for there to be a full body scan photo feature that can be used to merge my potential partner's and my images together.

This would really help save on the amount of time currently spent using photo editors to get an idea of what we'll look like when cuddling.

Thanks ~ Your consideration is appreciated.

  • This website can be more better, and less worser.

    I hope this helps. :)

Just the other day I was thinking about what @EPerk’s suggestion on video calls. It would streamline online chats and match photos to live individuals.

  • One thing that annoys me every time I visit the site, are the photos of newer members at the top of the home page. Along with their photo, Their age and home city or town is listed.

If they happen to live in San Fransisco, or Denver, or Chicago, or any of dozens of other major cities, that is useful information, There is only one Denver, or one Chicago in the U.S. However, That doesn't work for smaller places. I live reasonable close to both Woodstock, IL, and Aurora. IL.
There are 22 places named Woodstock in the U.S. There are 27 town named Aurora in the U.S., and two more in Canada. There are dozens of other common town names.

I have no idea how many times I have opened the profile of a woman from Aurora, only to discover that she was from Colorado, not Illinois. I probably left them wondering why some guy form Illinois was visiting her profile.

Would it be that difficult to list the state along with the city?

  • @Mark and @Gary - possible to look at @GreatHornedOwl 's suggestion of listing city AND state on new members section?

  • It would be cool for the site to be able to prevent banned members from rejoining the site. A pro I spoke w said she was assaulted by a member and didn't report him bc she said he would end up making a new account and there's no point. I found that unfortunate. I tried to encourage her to take action.

  • @cylee1180

That's so frustrating. I understand her hesitation, but she needs to report. He will go on to assault more women if not. When we report we are putting known offenders on the mods radar.
Banned members who try to return are often quickly caught and banned again.

  • @Rezz I agree! I just don't know how to convince her. Maybe someone else will hopefully report whoever the guy is.

  • @cylee1180 in fact, the site is amazing at preventing banned members from rejoining. It's basically impossible to rejoin unless you are a genuine techie who can figure out what the site does and how to get around it. I know a couple of banned members who made repeated attempts to rejoin (not to do anything bad, they just missed the place) and they were always caught.

Even if the offender does somehow manage to get back, being banned is a consequence and a deterrent. It is a message from the site that the behaviour is not acceptable.

I have observed that formerly banned forum members do reappear occasionally. The site does seem to have the capacity to forgive those who demonstrate remorse and the ability to learn.

Direct the professional to this post. Also suggest she contact other professionals for support. There may be a deeper reason why she is reluctant to report.

I think itd be really nice if there were a video chat feature on the site. I believe that enthusiasts are free to respond/not respond/cuddle/not cuddle whoever for whatever reason. Cuddling with someone from the internet is SO inherently risky and potentially unsafe, so wouldn’t both parties want to be as close to 100% comfortable as possible when actually meeting? Being too open minded isn’t necessarily safe. Being able to have a quick video chat would save time messaging back and forth and trying to form some sort of idea of who the person really is based on what they say and a profile picture they choose to share (or not). You’d save time by skipping a public or private first meeting if you don’t get good vibes from a video call. And you’d be spared that very awkward moment when you realize they’re different from their pictures and/or how they presented themselves via messaging. I feel like it would also help with the message overload. 90% are just like “hey” or “want to cuddle”? Setting up a video chat would be way better IMO. Just my 2 cents!

Edited to add that I understand you can zoom or use Snapchat but some people just won’t. Probably should be a red flag anyway, but why can’t the site provide this since it would definitely help with safety and save time 🤷🏼‍♀️

Less emphasis on paid cuddlers, as it seems to significantly detract from people merely seeking cuddles.

There are plenty of places solely for professional cuddling, trying to combine it seems to work against anything real and solely promote business.

I haven't been here long, yet I've had multiple contacts from pros, no responses from enthusiasts. Contrast that to websites like reddit, that have nothing whatsoever to do with cuddling, where one cuddle post can get me in touch with multiple people wanting to cuddle, for the sake of cuddles, and it makes this seem much more like a business advertisement than anything.

I get it, professional cuddling is a thing, and as I noted, there are sites that cater solely to that market, but if a community is supposedly here for normal people too, it's an awfully skewed focus here compared to unrelated sites with simple subs or sub forums for the purpose.

If it's easier to find something elsewhere, it seems this site is failing at it's primary mission. As professional cuddling is much easier to find elsewhere, and normal people cuddling is much easier to find elsewhere. As an old saying goes, sometimes by trying to do too many things, it's possible to fail at them all.

For me I'm already put off by the apparent emphasis on business.

I've easily found multiple cuddle buddies on sites with nothing to do with cuddling, and never once did someone ask me to pay, here, that's all people seem to want, and if that's what I was looking for, there are far easier and more reliable ways to find that.

  • Perhaps a redundant point at this stage of the website’s maturity level - I’m sure it’s been considered or discussed before :
Background check for criminal history of domestic violence , felony etc., would serve as a protective measure for the community . Especially to protect the Pros .

I’m curious what the community’s take on this would be.

Note: I recently had a pro request for my first and last name during our first phone call . I gladly shared a photo of my US drivers license as her safety is my priority 😊

    1. Under the subject of children, make an option for adult children living in the house and adult children living outside the house (or just adult children), for those of us who are older.
  • In the FAQ section about why people in relationships are on the site, please add polyamorous people and people in open relationships, many of whom (like myself) are NOT cheating when cuddling with others, and do so with the full knowledge and consent of our partners.

  • Make it easier to find one's own profile so one can easily modify it.

  • To piggyback on what @txgirl12 said, being able to post a brief video greeting on our profile would be nice also. It allows others to hear your voice, and to get a sense of your mannerisms--features that are impossible to capture with photos.

  • @metanoiahour I 100% agree with you on the criminal background check

When reading the forums, I often wish I could tell if the poster was a professional without having to check their profile.

  • @GreyingBear Yes, and location, state, country... ;-)
