“Hi beautiful” “Hi babe” “Hi gorgeous” “Hi pretty lady” All by men between the ages of mid 40s and late 50s 🤮. I am definitely NOT into men my dad’s age and never will be. Plus, what makes these people think they can call women they’ve never met before pet names. I hate being called babe by someone I don’t know or barely know.

I also dislike terms like that. The first time a woman twice my age called me 'my loverr' I replied, "I terribly sorry, I'm not sure we've met." (It turned out to be the conventional epithet used in the area to which I'd just moved.)

It is rare for people to ask me - out of context- why I'm single. However, I always reply that I'm not sure, but that I put it down to my egregious personality.
One cuddler addressed me by "Luv," obviously an inappropriate way to address someone on here and they were a pro.
These are all comically absurd, but also much more egregious than just being called "luv."🤣😂

My judgement was correct though because instead of apologizing for my instant repulsion and reaction to their message, they blamed me citing it’s a cultural norm. But it’s not. And even if it was, why use a pet name/term of endearment on a platonic cuddling site?
Comprehending culture includes OTHER society’s cultural norms & being aware that you could potentially offend.
@simsaddict exactly! When I was called that, I felt like I was transported to a dating app. It's just unacceptable and I have never been tolerant of that kind of speech from strangers whether they are a man or a woman. We just freaking met!
