  • @bleukris86 I personally think it’s good you took a screenshot of it to repost for others to see. Hopefully it discourages others to think this is acceptable on here.

  • I personally agree with almost everything that has been said here. However, no matter how despicable the OP's post was, too many of us (including myself, I'm ashamed to admit) have resorted to name calling and personal attacks that clearly violate, at least the spirit, of the TOS.

  • I don't really disagree with you @GreatHornedOwl. How could I? All you did was point out a truth.

  • I agree with @Charlie_Bear. Seeing the picture of the OP may be helpful to others in knowing what is not acceptable and discourages similar posts.

  • I don’t get the objection. If you are selling a service be accurate.

    Well @jplemmon the service she's providing is cuddling, she's not here to be objectified. None of us are.
    If looks are that important request a video call. If she's not up to your "standards" cancel the booking and leave her be.
    Otherwise you're an insensitive jerk for demeaning the pro to her face, acting surprised that she was cold and distant, then coming here for asspats from people who largely see you for what you are and will call you on it.

    I realize my post is completely unrelated to the thread - but something which makes me quite happy given the outcome.

    A couple of days ago I took the decision to delete the CC app (and, to be fair, the Facebook and Instagram apps as well) from my phone, in an effort to force myself away from real time access to every post and comment. I'm not giving up social media, just limiting its use to the one or two times a day I decide to log on and go through it.

    Today I log on and see this thread - all started and ended with the OP deleting the comments before I could even get in on the discussion - and I love it! This would have been one of my "trigger" threads where I would have gotten in on the discussion, all ready to add my own fuel to the wrath hurled against the OP. But it was all gone by the time I could even think to waste any brain cells on this.

    I just love the affirmation that my strategy seems to have worked today. Savings - 1 hour or more in time, and unknown amount of distraction from constantly wanting to check back and see who commented back. I love it!

  • @CuddlesByDeep I like that :), even tho I contributed to this thread.

  • People have every right to determine the person they want to cuddle with. We can make rules about behavior but we don't need to extend those rules to force our "morals" on everyone else. If someone likes to cuddle based on physical traits or how friendly someone seems or whatever, let's quit judging them. If looks aren't important why would someone NOT put up accurate pictures? Why would you want someone to be disappointed by false advertising? By the way, this isn't just a male pig opinion. A number of female cuddlers on this site have told me the exact same thing. Unfortunately, they don't bother to post on the Karenized forums so they don't get counted I suppose.

    I agree, he probably could've been nicer about it but it's true, a pro's profile photos are part of the advertising (which is why I've also always said pros should have profile photos that convey a conservative (not the political kind) platonic image vs dressed in fetishy costumes with a flirty vixen come hither right meow look).

  • @jplemmon Is your profile pic fairly current? I am respectfully asking just out of curiosity.
    @Moxytocin I agree.

  • I'm not the one charging money but, yes, it is.

  • @jplemmon wanting current photos is one thing, but criticizing a person based on their appearance (during a session no less) and wanting them to lower their prices if they are unattractive is something else entirely.

    @jplemmon

    There's a huge difference between saying

    I almost didn't recognize my cuddler due to very outdated photos

    versus

    She wasn't petite and she was fat. I told her as much to her face.

    If you can't differentiate between the two that's on you. There's a way to bring up this valid discussion without being unnecessarily abrasive to others in the process.

    I absolutely agree that all photos posted and sent here should be relatively recent and without excessive filters. I do not agree with his delivery or the way he demeaned another member of the community who could have seen his post and kicked her down further.

  • @jplemmon If you were a pro, would be all right with someone expressing disappointment cause they thought your current profile pic did not accurately represent you.? If you met an enthusiast, would trading negative comments about each other's looks be different cause no money is involved?
    I am just trying to see where you are coming from.

  • I mean I'm going by the post that was copied and pasted and I only see that he said he told her the photos were outdated. If I missed something somewhere, I apologize.

  • @bleukris86 Thanks for the repost. And he has the audacity to sound like HE was victimized.

  • I try to keep up to date pictures for safety protocols for potential cuddlers- like here I am, you can recognize me, here's my info, etc. Personally, beyond that, I don't care for pictures.

  • @cylee1180 "He has the audacity to sound like HE was victimized". Exactly!

  • I think there are definitely men on here who are hiring pros based on appearance and bodies, and looking for a substitute girlfriend of sorts . And on the flipside there are def pros on here who cater to that. It is naive to think otherwise.

    However , if someone doesnt seem to be someone you want to cuddle with after meeting them there are many ,many ways to not be a Jack ass about it. To me, when I read these kind of posts it just reinforces the fact that people are so shallow, and feel that they can devalue someone because money is involved . These type of folks are the first ones I'd be cautious about crossing lines as well

    @achetocuddle Can't be a goat with such poor form. Lol

  • @jplemmon its more the way he was describing the situation that was gross. So much of it was unnecessary, and saying he expected a cute petite girl but she was larger is not appropriate. And why go into detail about paying more for an attractive cuddler? It’s all just so out of touch with what this community is supposed to be about, which is platonic cuddling. Like I don’t see an issue wanting people to be genuine on here with their photos, but one does not need to make a post about being disappointed in their appearance and all the rest of that stuff he said. Other people here are gonna read that and get really discouraged and feel horrible about themselves if they are having body image issues. It was just a really bad take on what could have been a simple request.

    At this point I have no interest in teaching an adult manners and explaining why it is poor taste to bring up looks and body to a cuddler during a session and how expressing that dissatisfaction might make them upset with you. You either get it or you dont and I'm not your momma and I dont have the patience for an essay . All i can say is i hope folks learn from their mistakes, and from the mistakes of others , and stop being douches to each other.

  • @jplemmon Equating pretty and/or petite to a pay scale on a site like this seemed like the larger issue to me.

    @cylee1180 Lol.

    @Charlie_Bear Exactly!

    If anyone is concerned about current looks, why not just ask when the profile pic was taken? You can always just cut to the chase and admit you are shallow. Maybe save time and effort :)

  • @jplemmon You’re not wrong about it being Ok to choose cuddlers based on looks if that’s important to you. You can choose them based on age, race, hairstyle. It’s your money and time and if that stuff makes you feel more relaxed and relatable, then so be it. No one should judge. You don’t have control over what feels right to you. The woman indeed should not have posted misleading photos.

    But that’s not really the main issue here. The main issue is the guy’s sociopathic tone and the fact that he called out the woman on the spot for not looking better. Imagine how humiliating that would be. Just because a thought is in your head doesn’t mean it needs to be said out loud. You shouldn’t always wrong someone just because they wronged you. The better option here would have been either to make an excuse and leave without paying or just cuddle with her and let it go and try to find someone else better for you next time. Having a subpar cuddle isn’t the worst thing in the world. Maybe the next time, he could ask them beforehand about whether their photos are current. Live and learn but be respectful.

  • @dave31415 I personally would be one to not say anything and avoid anyone having hurt feelings. Mostly, my key points were what you expressed in your first paragraph, which many on here seem to take issue with. I'm not seeing from the post that he specifically called her fat or ugly or whatever to her face, just that the photos were not accurate. But this is less important than the the point about judging someone's choices.

  • I think not having up to date photos can be excusable- we're in the middle of a freakin pandemic. Some pple can't even answer the phone or get to work regularly. A prospective cuddler can always ask for updated pics or for a quick video chat or to meet in public during the vetting process.

    I mean I think everyone should post updated pictures, but everyone should behave with manners. I guess we're all in a situation. Lol.

  • stop being douches to each other.

    Depends on the scent you are talking about.
