Do I need a picture before someone will look at my page?

I’ve been on this site for about 6 months and have not registered any requests or views apparently save for a professionals. Is the reason because I didn’t post a pic, or do women not look at men’s pages. It is a bit disheartening. Advice please. Happy New Year.

  • There could be any number of reasons why no one has reached out to you. There is an option to search only profiles with pics. It could be that there isn't anyone active near you. It could be that you are in a relationship. That is a touchy subject for some people. They could also be shy and are hoping you would message them first. Your profile is filled in, which is a plus. You don't even have to post a picture of you. It could be of an animal or something that interests you. Hope this helps and happy cuddling!

  • There's a discussion on the topic of profile pictures here that could be relevant:

  • Have you tried initiating conversation? I've met some great people on here and likely wouldn't have if not for reaching out to most of them. A lot of the women on here are inundated with people messaging them so they are not as likely to have the time energy or patience to make the first conversation. Just be respectful and friendly , and remember even though this is a cuddle site, doesn't mean someone's going to jump at the chance to snuggle a stranger so build the rapport and trust same as you would with any potential friendship

Personally, I don't bother with profiles that don't have pictures. You have no idea who you'd be talking to. Personally, I need a certain amount of physical attraction for cuddling.

  • One way of attracting attention to your profile is to participate regularly in the forum discussions.

@discdemigod you may want to consider re-thinking your preferred age range. You are 44 years old and only want to cuddle younger women (25-45). Is there a reason that you only want younger women? It's kind of a red flag for women on the upperside of the range. I am 45 so probably wouldn't contact you.

  • Thank you for the responses.

Preferred Age Range is in instant turnoff for me.

    No pic doesn't help.

Also your profile, while true, is a bit of a downer.

I'd change at least two of those if you want better (or any) responses.

    Good luck. :)

  • Having a pic definitely helps; you've put plenty of info on your profile about yourself which is definitely good, when talking on here people want to get to know you before meeting you (mostly talking about non-pros here), though your bio is a bit depressing and a little...I don't want to say strictly attention-seeking but it's heading in that general direction. And maybe get rid of the preferred age range, when people fill it saying they're only interested in people roughly around their own age, maybe a few years either way, that's fair enough but someone saying 15-20 years each way just seems a little odd to me, just my personal opinion though.

If you want more people to look at your profile too then definitely message people in your local area, don't wait for them to message you, more often than not men message women first not the other way around.

I’m a social animal, and enjoy messaging back and forth. So when somebody looks at my profile, but doesn’t leave a message, i’ fairly Likely to send them one. Except I don’t do this if I look at the other person’s profile page and it is blank or nearly so. Even then I may comment on their photo, if they have one, or in their location.
My only real profile turn offs are the ones filled with negatives-extensive lists of who they don’t want to meet. As an example, do you see the difference between “No smokers,” and “I prefer non-smokers?”

  • Exactly what Waywardchild and everyone else said. :)

I'll add my bit, that one doesn't really need a picture, I personally prefer to not have a picture and being understanding of why others might not post theirs - security related, - unsure, - etc. I am a lot more tolerant in any case.

There are many pros and cons to having a picture of us.

    Con:

    1) Some times some people can forget the purpose of this Connections and treat it as if they've to find someone they're physically attracted to instead of going for something deeper and giving everyone a chance - giving their profile a read..

    "Pro":

    2) Some times a person might find someones picture attractive or maybe they'll just like their smile and like that they've a pet etc and thus out of all the blank profiles they might go to this profile first...

Sooner or later we have to see one another though I do really advice putting a picture up of something you love or a nice scenery doesn't have to include you. That way first thing someone will think is they actually made an effort and put up a 'profile picture' and hopefully they'll then have an opportunity to read on. :)

  • @Greybread no means no, maybe it's just me though with the smoking part I think "preference" sounds too weak for me. Like "I prefer... though I could spend close time with someone who smokes." I do agree though that it shouldn't just be "No smokers" it should be more relaxed and have a bit more content if one wants to send a positive message while still expressing their comfort.
