Do you have any tips to better my profile?

  • I’ve taken a look at the most recent version of your profile and I don’t see much to add or change either. Keep the tone of your profile, it’s who you are. Don’t feel like you have to change the way you write or speak. Be genuine and people who are worth it will respect that.

I think the length is just about right. Profiles that are too brief don’t tell the reader much about who you are and what you’re looking for. On the other hand, having too much in a profile can be overshare and may result in most cuddlers not reading all of it. Plus, if you give your whole life story in a profile, what’s left to actually learn about a prospective cuddler?!

I’ve also learned from this thread. I’ve been on here for a few years now, but I just realized (thanks to a recent reply) that I only had close up photos, so I did add one of my entire body for context.

I’m also thinking out loud here, but does it matter to people if you have many “friends” on here? I know karma can be hard for us enthusiasts who may rarely find cuddles on here, but maybe having a few friends it’s another way to show people that you’ve connected with like-minded individuals? Or does it not mean much?

  • @quincyq03 I like your post. You really do, above all, have to be genuine. I'm glad so many people have contributed to this thread. Diverse answers trying to cover all the bases is best for everybody. It never occurred to me to suggest a full-body photo, which is a great idea. I have full-body photos, but I had not really considered that all ages and sizes would possibly do better by posting them.

I waffle on how important a friend list is. Tbh, I know this is something that can be covered better by others here.

  • @Dylan2693 nice job! I think it reads better after your edits. Hopefully lots of cuddles will follow 😊

@Dylan2693 I'm in the "non-af" camp, since it might strike some people the wrong way. I would rather have someone write something sarcastic or tell a sarcastic joke then to talk about it.

I like the pictures. I would suggest to keeping it to 3-4 pics since people just want to breeze through a profile these days (just keeping the essentials).

I think my thoughts are split about whether or not you should keep your recent divorce up there- on one hand it shares relevant info , but on the other hand, some people might feel it's tmi. I would suggest including "newly single," or "Just got out of a relationship," or not mentioning it at all.

I can tell you put thought into your profile and the fact that you wrote a post that asked for feedback says a lot. Best of luck and Happy Cuddles!

  • @quincyq03 The profile's I've seen request that karma is left at least once or twice before meeting. Never seen a request for friends. They can be so much more difficult to get so it should say more. Still, haven't seen it.

Fwiw: while I agree that it could strike some people the wrong way, I think it’s best to leave it in. Some people will like it, and some people will dislike it. That’s better than just appearing bland to everybody.

  • @CuddleWho What I told him in so many words in a private message. When a profile says the same thing that the last five have said then it will not rise above the mediocrity.
