Okay. Guy meets girl, or girl meets guy. They start dating. Shouldn't they inactivate or delete their internet profiles? If they don't isn't this considered cheating? If it isn't are we all just swingers in this mad, mad modern world of technology?
? I don't know, I've never actually been to a dating website before.
it's called keeping their options open. i wouldn't delete an account until i'd got commitment from any person i was dating, it makes sense not to because until you're committed you are actually still single.
Irene,
How do you define commitment? If you delete your account would you ask if the other person is going to do the same? And if they didn't, would you continue dating that person?
Thank you for your reply
JasonCuddles,
You don't need to have been. If you have a brain, you should have an opinion.
It was my way of saying this isn't a dating website. However if you're posting about other sites on this forum I can share a fact. Some people are comfortable with mono and some people are comfortable with poly.
I guess my opinion is that trying to impose your sense of what should be done on someone is a losing battle and if your views are different on this I find it likely the relationship will not work out.
My apologies. You do have a brain.
I don't see how this topic is relevant to a website for platonic cuddling.
I think to be able to type out a reply without having a brain you would need to be in an environment with extremely low energy loss, like on the ISS in a trampoline room. Then you would need to bounce around with a keyboard and be lucky enough to randomly press all of the keys for a proper response in order. The chances of this occurring seems astronomically unlikely and honestly I am surprised you thought this scenario was probable enough to be worth mentioning.

@Sunflowerfield,
This is just like a dating site. How is a cuddle date different than a date to play tennis? It is sharing your time with someone who you have an interest in. Most people on here do not have someone to cuddle with and that includes married people. Most of these people have or will have had memberships on dating sites so there is interest in this question. Just because you may have a swinging or "poly" friendly lifestyle does not speak for everyone else.
You're quick to say that, especially after saying I didn't have a brain. All I wanted to do was examine your side of things for funsies. /shrug
I'd like to know why you're worried about something that's not your business.
@smyle Cuddle Comfort is nothing like a dating site. This community encourages cuddling. We refer and encourage our cuddle partners to cuddle with others. That's why we leave Karma. It's lets others know what a great cuddler that person is and they should cuddle with them. That doesn't mean that we believe in a poly relationship in our personal life. @JasonCuddles is most definitely not a troll. He is a warm person that is free to share his opinions which are typically loving and insightful. His profile also includes a beautifully, well-written description of himself. He has longevity on this site. Before you start calling people out on this site perhaps you should take the time to get to know the community and the cuddlers. Perhaps we could get to know you a bit better if you put a little about yourself on your profile. You seem to have time to hang on the forum but you couldn't manage to fill in your profile. Just a suggestion.
everyone will have their own definition of commitment i guess. mine is: i'm a part of someones whole life, they prove they care about me with consistent actions.
that's about it. they won't be lying, won't be doing stuff behind my back, nor keeping me out of anything important in their life, and i will have met all the people who are important to them. mostly they will prove they are committed by being consistent with their actions and i will feel cared for.
if you feel a need to then talk about whether or not you should delete your profiles then do that. communication is key to good relationships.
1-This isn’t dating site , 2-most people don’t until they know it’s going somewhere 3- not everyone is monogamous , 4- why is this posted in a platonic cuddling site ?
If we are going to start up the on-topic police again, we won’t have forum posts to read every day. That being said, I can understand the concern that too much discussion of online dating here could cause some confusion to new members. I’ve done it; I’ll try to be more careful.
I agree, this is not a dating site. However, cuddling is very intimate and feelings can be easily developed for someone you are cuddling with. I didn't join this site looking for love, but I fell in love with a pro cuddler! Unfortunately she didn't fall in love with me. I really felt like there was something special there. We still talk every day, but we don't cuddle as often as we used to because I can't afford to. I hold on to the hope that one day she will realize I'm not there or miss cuddling with me so much, that her feelings will change. Yeah, I know, I'm a hopeless romantic!
Let's not call apples oranges even though perhaps they've similar shape. This site encourages cuddling and possibly even friendships overtime that's it.
As for your question(s) of such nature I'd refer you to relationship advice websites as they've tons of good informations and forums more catered to the dating world. I am sure a little search will bring up something helpful.
At the end of the day, with ANY type of a relationship I can say it starts with open communication, understanding, respect and team-work. Peace.
Why do you care? To each their own!
Stop projecting your moral compass on others.
1) Refer to the thread on trolls. 2) Refer to the thread on cuddling with those in relationships. Jim
