It's an profoundly different experience. Or, at least, it can be.
In a standard enthusiast cuddle, the two parties care for each other equally. However, with a professional cuddle there should be an inbalance (modest or significant depending on the practice of the professional) the same way that there is with any caring profession. A psychotherapy client does not listen to the trauma of the therapist; a massage client does not massage the massage therapist.
(For the benefit of the hard of understanding, this does not mean that the client should not care for the therapist. Of course they should. 'Inbalance' of care does not imply zero or inadequate care.)
For me, for the most part, I want nothing different.
The pro may have more experience than the enthusiast, though not necessarily. The pro may be more immediately available. A fellow enthusiast will probably want to take time to get to know you. And, as has been pointed out, a pro is there to serve the client’s needs. A fellow enthusiast is going to expect their needs to be filled.
The pro needs to break the touch barrier first is one of the biggest things imo. Every pro I've been with has had to close that gap themselves because I have an issue doing it, and they need to do it quickly because we are on a clock, so they cannot afford to be passive consumers of the time with a client.
They should be checking in with their clients on if they are comfortable, if they would like another position, is there a specific touch they prefer, etc.
I see pros because I like listening to them, having my needs on center stage, and knowing they will take the initiative.
With a pro there is an agreed upon time limit. While a fellow enthusiast may indicate they want a specific time limit, the length of cuddle session may be left undefined.
