I need some help with how to use this Cuddle Comfort website... it's super super confusing

Hi my name is Dylan and i am very very new to this website Cuddle Comfort.. I just created an account yesterday and well i am super confused about how to actually use this cuddling website. I am super confused because i had someone that i guess is a professional cuddler and well the thing is that it says that if you write a message back to them requesting a cuddling session, then it says that you promise to make a payment immediately in the client agreement or something along those lines...

The thing is that i am not 100% sure that i am absolutely able to make an appointment of any kind and well i guess i was just wondering; am i able to respond to a message from a professional cuddler and not have any contractually binding payment that i am seemingly supposed to make or if i am mandated to pay if i so much as respond to a message that someone has sent to me?

I thought that once you meet up with a person or cuddler and have both agreed to the terms and conditions, then and only then, do you go ahead with making the payment..... anyways i am beyond confused with how this website works. Can anyone help me with exactly how this cuddling website works please?

Thanks

I thought that once you meet up with a person or cuddler and have both agreed to the terms and conditions, then and only then, do you go ahead with making the payment

That's been my experience whenever I've seen a professional - paying in person once I get there.

The Client Agreement just says "Payment for each session is due before the session or at the very start of one". So you are not required to pay in advance, it's just an option. (But @Scarlette makes a good point below about asking for a deposit if there is a lot of uncertainty about being able to keep the appointment, which sounds reasonable to me).

It also says: "If you cancel within 12 hours of the appointment we ask that you pay half of the session price." And if it's within 24 hours, you only need to pay for rental space, if any.

If you cancel more than 24 hours before, then there is no obligation. But it would be polite to tell them you might have to do that.

I message some to check their availability but I don't pay anything unless we can agree on a date and time and that's before the session.

  • @dlyan_30. Ultimately, it's up to the individual cuddler if you pre - pay or not. This is not one of the sites in which you have to prepay. You can most definitely respond to a pro without payment. We would love to hear from you. After the initial contact and the understanding of the client agreement, it's up to you and the pro how you want to deal with it from there. "The thing is that i am not 100% sure that i am absolutely able to make an appointment of any kind" . This is a red flag for us if you schedule an appointment. IT IS NOT OK TO CANCEL AN APPOINTMENT! SIituations occur for all of us however, you seem a bit unsure of your schedule. I, personally, would ask for a deposit from you. On the upside, you have a pic and description, so yay to you!!!

  • @Scarlette. Hi Scarlette, so i guess from reading your comment and @Alternis and @respectful and their comments, it sounds like you guys all mention that i am in fact able to message a professional cuddler back and not have the risk of having to pay immediately.

I just want to mention that i know i sound kinda flaky and well it is never ever ever my intention to flake on an appointment. This is exactly why i wrote this post because i just want to make sure 100% that i am able to have the option to message the cuddler back and then after i am sure that i am able to meet up with the cuddler, then we can arrange a time and place to meet up.

You'll have to forgive me but i do struggle with severe anxiety issues and with my disability, it is very hard for me to not feel incredibly worried or anxious when there is technical language as is such in the Client agreement. I'm really sorry to sound kinda confused or stressed out by this, but i am definitely not trying to feel stressed out about this.

The only reason i wanted to make an account was because i was hoping to relieve the stress and anxiety that i am feeling by hopefully being able to talk and meet up with someone who is compassionate and caring and wants to help me out. Even if it is just for an hour or two... i didn't mean to make myself more stressed out by this legal jargon that is kinda thrown at us if we so much as answer a message.. but i dunno.... I'm sorry.

If anyone can maybe help me out a little bit with exactly how this process works then that would be great, otherwise, maybe i am in over my head with all this. All i was hoping for was to seek help with my anxiety and stress that i am feeling at the moment.

    Thanks

@Dylan_30 Basically the answer is yes, you can feel free to message a cuddler without anything to worry about (there's no immediate obligation).

This may not help to say, but you can feel free to relax! I'm sure it will be a lovely experience for you. Professionals are all about being understanding and making you feel comfortable.

Do you feel like you got your questions answered yet?

Edit: And just looking quickly, there seem to be 4 professionals near you. I'm sure they would all be great, but eternity has some lovely feedback already if you click on "karma" on her profile.

And don't be confused by the "request to book" button. You can use it just to send a normal message, not necessarily to book them yet.

  • @respectful Yeah i think it is becoming more easier to understand. I'm really sorry, it's just i easily get confused and i never mean to kinda be flaky or anything like that and i sure never intend to suddenly just cancel on an appointment.. especially if i am willing to make an appointment in the first place.. lol that would just be ridiculous to do..

So well i just get really confused and it just makes me super anxious when things are not absolutely 1000% clear to understand for me. As someone with a disability, i kinda struggle with keeping my anxiety and stress in check but that is precisely why i was looking for this service because i would hope that any professional cuddler would at the very least have some sense of compassion and at least a slight bit of understanding of people with anxiety disorders, but you know maybe i'll find someone who is willing to be extra patient with me.

Thanks for your help @respectful!! I appreciate you clearing some of the confusion that i had.

  • Thanks you guys for all your responses. I truly appreciate it and i'm sorry if i sounded a bit overly anxious with my messages and how i phrased them. I'll try to work on that and well i appreciate the help and the clarity that you guys have given with these responses.

    Thanks again =)

  • @Dylan_30 You're very welcome. It's always OK to ask questions ...

@Dylan_30. Honestly, it's hit or miss here. Do not take it personally! Pros are busy and enthusiasts are busy. With a pro you are way more likely to get EXACTLY what you want.

  • @Scarlette. Thanks Scarlette... i realize i might have kind of not responded to the message in the best way and i'm sorry about that. I guess just what i'm kind of looking for is just someone to spend time with and someone to open up with about things that are not as easy to talk about with like friends of mine. It's just i feel i can open up about my real true feelings and worries more with women, than with friends of mine and family. I just honestly am looking for that personal connection and just someone to be close too and just in a way kinda have a therapeutic hug to help me feel better hopefully ... so that i can get all this stress and anxiety off my shoulders. I just i don't know anyone and i'm kind of new in town here in Tucson so it has been super lonely lately for me. It's just a big change in my life attending this new school and meeting new people and making new friends... since in my old school i had so much friends and now we have moved away from our school since we all graduated college... it's just been really challenging times for me lately...

  • @Dylan_30 One thing I'd like to mention because it is a common complaint for new people is that there will be many times when you contact a pro cuddler or even a non pro and you will not get a response. Let me let you know right away that they are well within their right to not respond and the best thing to do is to not take it personally and just move on to the next cuddle pro or the next cuddle enthusiast and hope that they like what you have to say in your profile and their personal preferences are in tune with yours and that you get a message back that will lead to a cuddle session.
You might even see that they visited your profile and they don't respond so again, don't take it personally and move on.
That being said I wish you nothing but the best in your cuddling journey.

In my experience pro cuddlers on this site are pretty good in responding. I had a great success and all of them are super sweet and caring:) good luck
