I just returned from the event I posted about - going to Chicago to visit friends who were attending the 80th World Science Fiction Convention. I had a great time visiting my friends and made a few new friends.
@Babichev ... So glad you had fun. I went on my kayaking trip, and like you I saw old friends and made some new friends too.
The first week in October I am going to VA to see my sister and her family. I have two great nieces and am looking forward to getting cuddles (I hope, if they let me) from the little girls!
My son and his partner are getting married on October 30 in Northern California.
There is a comic con in Florence SC on Saturday that I can't wait to go to!
I've been getting into checking out some of these local bands. This all-female band is coming to a bar in Parker, Colorado this Saturday and playing Aerosmith songs.
I plan on taking some close family to New England next fall to see the beautiful foliage. Vermont or New Hampshire to be exact. Hey, why not both 😁. I’m getting a rental car and driving up there. It will be fun driving through other states while reaching our destination.

I’d like to go to Teslacon in November but that depends on having someone with whom to go. My friend who is usually the instigator is ambivalent about it so far.

Lost Lands in two weeks. 🥵 I'm going to be feral ground squirrel while breaking my neck to filthy bass for 3 days with my fam from all over the country. It can't come soon enough.
In a week, I am going to be biking in the 2022 Bike MS150: Tour De Beach in Mobile, AL. This will be my third ride overall, second event post COVID, and my first one in AL.
