Favorite Fall Activities?

Fall is my favorite season. I'm npt into it like a fad, but I always like the pile of leaves, the mild but cool climate, costumes, a pot of stew, and a bonfire.

Maybe it also used to signify the beginning of the school year: a fresh start.

There was a creek near in my neighborhood where I grew up that had a hilltop that had a view of the whole neighborhood. I'd stay there for hours - sometimes a fox or deer would pass by.

Once upon a time, I had friends or siblings to throw around a football, throw a frisbee, or shoot hoops on a day like this.

What is nice is that Maryland has had some serious climate issues for the past 8-12 years, so I think the pandemic has slowed down all this climate change imo and we're actually have real fall weather (not this hot, humid mess until mid November, then it gets cold, then 90s degrees in mid December).

Fall can be nice. Also that slight hint of melancholy and sentimentality when it gets kind of cold and the sky gets kind of pale and the leaves fall down.

Those sound great! hopefully the weather there is alright this year like you said.

Some things I like to do in autumn/fall:

    • Watch The Nightmare Before Christmas as part of an annual tradition.
    • Consume copious amounts of soup accompanied by slightly less copious amounts of bread.
    • Take some pictures, not normally much of a shutterbug but this time of year brings about some nice sights.
    • Grow out my "winter coat" with my hair and beard to help with the colder weather.
    • Visit my local park more to have a sit down and doodle some things, feed the ducks, look for interesting leaves.
    • Consume even more soup and bread.
  • @Zundar Mm.. soup and bread. Or both

  • Baking of pies.

  • @sunnysideup Any pics? Sweet or savory?

  • Squash for me! Oh my gourd!

  • Outside Ohio today ….

    Mmm...soup and bread.

  • Bonfires, haunted houses, pumpkin patches, celebrating the bugs going back to hell where they came from.

  • Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons. Fall is time for:

    • homemade soups with cornbread,
    • hiking (cooler and crisp air),
    • watching high school or college football,
    • fire in the fireplace.
  • Ooooo. Yall would make great fall companions.

  • I love to take my motorcycle and my camper up to the mountains and enjoy the cool weather. I go to WV, VA, North GA, KY
Love the mountains, FL is so flat and not many curves here. My last WV trip was great as I had a cuddlier partner to share my motorcycle riding with.
