I used to go clubbing a lot. I have never been to a festival in person ever. I wanted to go to tomorrowland, edc, ultra, and beyond wonderland. Would be cool to have a sober crew to go with.
RAVE TO THE GRAVE!!
Find me in the jungle room boh! boh!
Haven’t been to a club, much less a festival, in ages, but I have a Lords of Acid station on my Pandora - listened today on my out to the mountain bike trail!
@buglysnug I've posted ways to find shows but maybe haven't touched on how to find other sober ravers.
If you're on FB look groups local to you. San Diego is a massive hotspot, so finding one takes seconds.
There's also groups dedicated to sober raving. Here's one Rave Sober Official. Just join and pose any questions. You will only be met with support.
@ClubSamwiches 🫶 I adore you.
@Tranquilescape I may be going next year! You should go to if you can. That lineup was pure 🔥🔥🔥 this year, but it clashed with LL.
@nurturingman I listen to chillwave lofi EDM when cuddling. It's very relaxing and comforting. There's no way I could listen to my usual playlist during a session, it's a bit too explicit and way too heavy. 🤣
First off let me say your name is life because im a new born rezzbian lol glad to see the plus fam in this circle. Wholesomeness meets wholesome career
@Rezz I just bought my tickets. Let’s frikkin DO THIS!!! 🥳🥳🥳
Ty @Rezz , will do! I don't have a rave mask... but I got a LED hat and a wolf tail.
Did someone say EDM?
@JBearz He did.
I'm just here waiting for the lasers.
Boots and cats and boots and cats
@rezz would you share some recent and successful in the mainstream music that borrows elements from edm. Anything more subtle and/or very obviously influenced would be appreciated if you have the time.
@LondonHug Of course! I don't listen to much of it but I'm sure I can compile a playlist for you. ☺️
That would be great, thank you 😀. Just a handful examples to reference would work really well.
Most of this is good, especially starting around the 10 minute mark. If in Atlanta and you know someone is scheduled to be here, let me know, I’m in.
Oh I love Tiesto! Imagine festival in GA is apparently a good one if you haven't been. It's a camping festival which is a great way to really connect with your neighbors and make lifelong friends for future festivals ❤️
I've never been to an EDM festival, and would love to check off that bucket list box soon!
Yes I love EDM. I love going to raves and music festivals to EDC, Escape Wonderland, Beyond wonderland, Tomorrowland, Shambhala, Enchanted Forest, Electric Forest, Youtopia, Burning Man, and so many more! I particularly love Drum n Bass
@SweetM Just go. Find a small local event or a 4 day camping festival, buy the ticket and just GO! I go solo frequently and always walk away with new friends. It's liberating to just throw yourself out there not knowing what to expect and walking away with your mind blown. ❤️✌️ I can always recommend something based on your taste, feel free to ask!
@SnuggleSuz
This makes me so happy! It's music Disneyland for adults. If I can't make it to EF this year I'm doing Bass Canyon.
I don't go to EDM fests but if I'm at a music festival I will visit the EDM tent. I miss IDM like Autechre, Amon Tobin, Aphex Twin, Future Sound Of London, Mouse On Mars... that's older now. I go to mostly complex shows in small venues but I totally get the EDM scene.
I like some Trance, but don't have much experience with those others sub-genres of EDM listed. I listen to one particular track as a soundtrack for a story I'm developing:
Above & Beyond feat. Zoë Johnston - No One On Earth (Gabriel & Dresden Remix).
I love the vocals at 03:43, and then especially at 4:52 when that beat kicks in. Ooooh! Chill bumps! So @Rezz , at that Lost Lands video you posted, would you be up front head banging, or hanging out in the back taking it all in?
Yasssss! 🙌💜💫
I love EDM. I've been looking for people to go with
I love EDM. What exactly is the bad rep that people who enjoy EDM get? That they party too much, do drugs, and are whores?
@Rezz thanks for the recommendations I do know most of those but definitely feel free to send bass head vibes cuz that's definitely a vibe. I'm currently really vibing with yheti, subtronics, Louis the child excision
I went to electric zoo for the first time. It was ok, but i went alone. I don't think I could say i felt very welcome, but i don't feel welcome anywhere. Any idea of how to have more fun at these festivals?
Have loved EDM for as long as I can remember, even though I don't dance and my temperament is fairly shy/non-animated, so people are usually surprised to discover this fact. Here's one of my faves to play on repeat. (Make sure to use headphones/good speakers to feel the bass )
I went to Lost Lands and it felt like home! I loved it! My favorite set was the Excision B2B Sully. Then two weeks later I saw Sully again. I've seen like about 4 times this year. 😂😂 I want to check out Summoning Fest next year. Rave in a Cave? Yes please! 🙋🏿♀️
I dont have any friends who likes EDM so I've never went to a festival but I'm been super interested in going!!
Oh hell this blew up!
I'm sorry to everyone I haven't responded to, I got COVID and have been recovering from not being able to eat for the past 3 weeks. Nice side effect is weight loss I guess 🤷♀️
I have EDC Orlando this week so I'm saving my energy so I can get absolutely feral this weekend.
I love to see so many others dming me and asking questions and showing interest in going to a small show or festival. You guys make me smile.
I welcome you guys to drop artists and playlists. Here's one that is diverse bass.

I'll try to get back to everyone here once I have the energy ✌️
