Super rude pro

  • @CactusHuggerTim My thoughts also and super well-said.

  • I agree with @achetocuddle - beautifully conveyed, @CactusHuggerTim! 😌

    ~ Sunset Snuggles

  • @AintMisbehavin - that is the FUNNIEST response. And @Rezz , per usual, is on point and 100% correct.

Gents. A gentle reminder. No one, no one, NO ONE owes you a response. If a Pro chooses not to respond, for whatever their own personal reason, that's their choice and option. You might be gawd's gift, but in all cases, their beliefs and actions are their business and your sway and swag doesn't cut it.

  • @Sideon - Let's see. A pro is free to choose who she wants to cuddle with. That makes perfect sense. I totally agree.

A pro should not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, age etc. That makes perfect sense. I totally agree.

It's only when I put those two things together, that it begins to make less sense.

  • @GreatHornedOwl - I do not presume a Pro's or enthusiast's reasons or considerations. That's theirs.

  • @Sideon - If you can't presume a Pro's reasons, then is there any point in telling a pro that they mussn't discriminate?

It sounds to me like saying "You can reject anyone you want, for any reason you want, but you cant reject them because of race, religion, or age."

  • It's in the style of all anti-discrimination rules everywhere, isn't it, @GreatHornedOwl?

A business can't refuse to hire me because I'm disabled (photosensitive), but they can deny me the job because my sunglasses go against company dress code "and if people see you wearing them around they'll think it's okay for them to do it, which it's not, and of course we'll hire you, you just have to be in debilitating pain all the time—oh, you don't want the job anymore?"

Still, having the rule is marginally better than not having it. At least some people abide by the spirit rather than the letter!

  • @GreatHornedOwl - you're being intentionally obtuse. Start over with the entire thread. OP posits that a Pro is rude for requiring a pic. Everyone gets their underwear bunched up that a Pro even DARE to not respond to their every message and whim. The Pro in the OP's scenario is not discriminating - they're choosing their criteria and verifying identity before proceeding further. Plain and simple, but you're somehow having difficulty with this concept. If you need further assistance, message me directly, but stop it with the "but what if" scenarios that don't apply here.

@GreatHornedOwl - LOTS of men come back on here as previously banned members who were/are looking for sex/sexual favors. Do you think we want to put ourselves in that position? Do you think we want to waste our time if a member doesn't want to confirm their identity and they were one of the perverts who was previously banned? How is that fair to us? How much time should we be wasting going back and forth before it's confirmed that they are a pervert who can't respect boundaries and keep their paws to themselves? Mods ban the same members over and over again because they come back again and again and again..... It's like they think we won't somehow figure it out.

@Sideon said "The Pro in the OP's scenario is not discriminating - they're choosing their criteria and verifying identity before proceeding further." He's correct.

Am I willing to cuddle everyone, regardless of race, religion, age, etc? Absolutely! Will I do so if they can't respect me/my boundaries? Absolutely NOT! They may try to say I'm discriminating, but the only time I don't move forward (assuming they are close enough to my area, etc.) is when there is a 🚩.

  • Everyone has made a lot of assumptions. Read bddole’s FIRST POST! He acknowledged that he had forgotten her rule after reading her apparently long profile. Her response was RUDE. I believe this thread should be over and done with!!

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

How is asking for a picture rude when it's clearly noted as a requirement in her profile? For all we know, she has had dozens of guys ignore her request and she was fed up with it. Maybe some were even previously banned members. Maybe a refusal to provide a picture is a huge red flag for her. We haven't heard her side of the story, so there's no way to know.
Bottom line -- she requires a picture. That's her right.. He has stated that for personal reasons he is not comfortable providing one. That's his right. Therefore, these two will never do business and further contact between them would be pointless.

  • Keep in mind most of these women receive messages from really awful people regularly. It changes people for sure. I would try to keep that in mind. If you get a rude person who doesn't want to treat you the way you want to be treated don't take it personal, try someone else.

  • @peo

Everyone has made a lot of assumptions. Read bddole’s FIRST POST! He acknowledged that he had forgotten her rule after reading her apparently long profile.

He knew he wasn't comfortable sending a pic when he read that it was a requirement and yet he still contacted her. He didn't forgot, he just didn't care.

    Her response was RUDE

Her response was appropriate IMO. If you don't have a picture on your profile and you're not comfortable sending one, we're done, there's no further discussion needed. Bye and block. 🤷‍♀️

I believe this thread should be over and done with!!

Nah. It's a healthy discussion. It can encourage other members to pay attention to details in our profiles to avoid being butthurt over a block by someone they've never met.

  • I’m happy to see I riled up some stuff. 😂

  • Just wanted to say thank you again everyone for your context, thoughts, and explanations!

Really? Because it seems to me like this was kinda a bridge dweller move. Not implying that you are but it doesn’t seem like the resurrection of this topic is in good faith. It’s months old. And a highly fought over topic. Just wanted to drop by and say…. Let’s get ready to rumble? Sounds more accurate.
I apologize if your intentions are pure. Seems murky to me.

    @sideon @netrunner @Shake49 @Charlie_Bear

Angelic or bridge dweller move? Seems to be bridge hopping too.

  • "We don't have male models here seeking pros for cuddling. The vast majority have been average looking men."

When I inquired about my looks with one of my regular cuddle buddies, she said I was, well, "meh."
I think that means almost average.
I'd rather be appreciated for my mind, anyway. I'll have you know that I attended a very prestigious community college.

    MMM. Mediocre Men Matter.

  • Trolls. Get thee back to thy bridge. If anyone is still unclear on the concept, Pros can dictate what they need or expect when communicating - sucks to be you if you can't figure that part out if they ask for a pic and you 'forgot'. Sucks even more if they block you, but that's also their prerogative. What really sucks is the expectation that you "deserve" a response: sit down, Skippy, no. No you don't.

Instead of saying a Pro is rude, I'd do some deep soul searching and ask: have you looked at what and how you're communicating? Are you listening?

  • I spoke with @bddole : I apologize for calling him a troll (in the post right above).

Given the 1) bump to a revived thread and 2) new flags coming in regarding trolling, I shot first and aimed later and locked the thread. He had good, not trollish, intentions. I locked the thread.

Now I'm unlocking the thread. Please do not think this is an invitation to bash Pros or demand a response when you message someone.

Every pro that I have met on here has been incredibly nice. I know my experience won’t be shared by everyone, and I know some pros are not above being rude. However, if they are not nice to you (whoever is reading this, not OP) I am going to take a guess and say your opening message and how you conduct yourself when messaging pros may need a lot of work.

  • edited March 2023

@sideon @bddole same didn’t flag but I did comment. I received a message from him. He seems nice. It did seem like a resurrection of pro bashing thread but I am sorry that I didn’t think his intentions were genuine.

  • Try forgetting a rule at work or court of law. See how that goes

  • There is a vast difference between direct/concise, rude, and "super rude".

Hyperbole doesn't help OPs argument here.

Could the pro have tacked on a "please"? Sure. Did she absolutely need to, to not be rude? No, I personally don't believe so, but then I am also quite used to and appreciate people being direct and concise.

    Imagine this scenario:

You walk in to a hotel. "Hi! I'd like to check in."

"Of course, sir/ma'am, may I have your name?"

Instead of answering their question and giving them your name, you launch into a long-winded story about your travels that day while the front desk agent is a captive audience trying patiently to wait you out, the line behind you is getting longer.

You finally wrap up your story, the agent prompts again "name?"

"Why do you need my name?"

"So I can look up your reservation, sir/ma'am."

    "I don't have a reservation."

"I'm sorry, but we are sold out tonight."

"Well why didn't you tell me that when I walked in?!?" you complain angrily. "You just wasted all my time. And you're rude."

The agent sighs and points to the Sold Out sign on the front door you passed on the way in.

(I worked in hotels for 16 years, I cannot count the number of times scenarios like this happened. And yes, I believe the mindset of both customers/clients is the same problematic one.)

  • She’s wasn’t rude, she just didn’t let you dismiss her requirements and let you operate without repercussion lol

@WriterGF Now I'm thinking of adding "no pic, no shirt, no shorts/pants = no cuddles" I like it!!!
