His name is "Tank" as in A1Abrams battle tank because he is big, heavy and is mean to everyone but me. He lays down on my hand so I can't move and then he wraps his tail around me

  • @TNNative i think everyday about ‘sweety’, the feral kitten I feed everyday, I have plans to move within the next 3 years, she waits for me every single day like clockwork unless its raining bad outside to eat … at this point she’s completely feral I feel but I’m wondering if it would be ok or unethical to trap / take her to the vet / put her under anesthesia and shower her and see of any medical conditions for treatment ect exist ( I know she will be really stressed, but if I buy a home I want to build her a nice small home for her in the back yard and I know she’ll be happy) … thankfully I have people to feed her if I’m at work or away, but it won’t be the same once I leave & I don’t want to leave her behind 😔

  • My kitty Maca. I love her <3

  • @cuddles_ndream she is precious. I think it would be totally ethical to trap her and get her vet care, but then release her back to her home area. I know of this happening a lot in FL. Kitties get spayed and neutered and treated for conditions then released again. She looks like she has a “tipped” ear which could indicate she had already been fixed.

    This post makes me happy.

  • @TNNative

you're absolutely right … when I first found her she was a baby (maybe 2 months the most) and she was beyond scared and her eyes were very infected … it took her a week to approach me and I literally had to walk up the block so that she would come out and eat from under a car, I started mixing neomycin (I believe it was ) 100mg (fish moss is the nickname I think) In her food for 30 days straight (and she got used to it ), she would wait on the side until I did it and than her eyes started getting much better (they’re still infected but no where near as bad as it was) .. I started showing pics of her to friends at work and someone told me that she’s been spayed because the clipped ear was a sign … this upset me so much because it told me that someone thought they did good by doing that but left her out to die (her eyes were that bad) I thought it would be a matter of time before she went blind and she was literally a baby, I also thought she was too young to be spayed … but thankfully she’s sooo much better , she knows me now, we meow 4 times to each other , she stretches and follows me to the spot where I feed her (I have so much videos of these interactions ☺️) now if I’m away or at work and can’t make it to her I have 3 people who do so for me … my only big concern is trapping her again, but if I do I’ll make sure that her home is built 1st so that once the vet visit is over I’ll take her straight there … I know this is about 2 - 3 years away but I’m already planning for it … my only worry is that she won’t survive the winter , it gets brutally cold here in January and February and where she sleeps at night (or calls home) is a 2 car garage that’s not utilize and just a bunch of wood inside … I’m gonna see if I can get her a winter shelter I saw online that has straws inside previously used fish boxes , and put a picture of her outside of it with the message (hey , my name is sweety… this is my home and I’m really sweet I don’t bother nobody and and I never leave a mess, and my dad comes and feeds me every night), I’m hoping that the building staff doesn’t throw it away, but I honestly don’t know what else to do for the time being, I’m just hoping my best that she survives the winter ❄️ 🙏🏻
