Different song, same title. My favorite version of All I Want for Christmas is You. How many of you have heard this song? Definitely my favorite!
@carrieanne I’ll admit, I had to check Wikipedia for this one. For what is meant to be a spoof band, it’s a really well put together track
I never thought of them as a spoof band but I also don’t remember hearing anything else by them. Definitely didn’t stick around long but that song always got a lot of airtime. Until Mariah’s version came along. That song gets to me anyway.
.
I didn't know this was a Christmas song 😂:
Here’s the inaugural public performance of the Christmas Platonic Cuddling Song I asked OpenAI’s ChatGPT to write. It’s definitely not Dylan and I had to add the ‘platonic’ as the original Christmas Cuddling Song was quite amorous. This technology may well one day steal your job, but if this effort is anything to go by songwriters are safe for the next couple of years
(Verse 1) It's that time of year again When we all come together To share some cheer and good will And celebrate the season
But in these times of social distancing We can't embrace like we used to So let's all gather 'round And enjoy a platonic cuddle
(Chorus) We'll hold each other close But not too close, of course We'll keep our distance But still feel the warmth Of Christmas platonic cuddles
(Verse 2) We'll hug each other tight But not too tight, just right We'll share some holiday cheer And spread some joy and love
We'll cuddle by the fire Or under the mistletoe We'll sing some carols And enjoy the holiday glow
(Bridge) We may not be able to touch Like we used to in the past But that doesn't mean we can't Enjoy the holiday at last
So let's all join together And share some Christmas platonic cuddles It may be different this year But it's still a time to be merry and bright!

Are Slade played outside of the UK? Their Christmas song dominates every playlist throughout December
@LondonHug Slade and Sweet were both big in the states in the early to mid-70s when glam rock was the rage.
@FunCartel got it, didn’t know whether they travelled well or not. Wizard and Mud were the other UK rockers with big Christmas tunes
@LondonHug 😂🥰🤗🎅🏽 haha love all the Caution for keeping 🎄Christmas Cuddles Platonic!!
@carrieanne I’ve got to say I did like the line We’ll hug each other tight But not too tight, just right 😀
One of my favorite Christmas choral songs.
Purple Snowflakes- Marvin Gaye
Even with the jingle bell background, I've always thought this was such a cool, nonchalant holiday song.
Don't know if this has yet become mainstream.
+1 recommendation for the Theocracy songs.
A few randoms I like*
