I think I’m going to do this as a tradition for the winter holidays. I went to Enchant here in Florida and it was amazing and so beautiful!! Something about big bright lights does it for me. It brings me comfort and wonder.
As a Canadian, I always conflated Christmas with snow and cold and ice and danger. I wanted to focus on the holidays and be happy but I couldn’t because of the weather that Canada brings. I always had seasonal depression and there were a couple years here and there where I was ready to end it… I couldn’t take the cold blustery blizzards anymore. But I made the choice to be here in Florida every winter. I gave up a lot to make this work but my mental health is so important. Ever since that move, I’ve been able to see magic in these holidays now and I’ve never looked back!
