I hope that for 2023 we all choose our happiness above all else, whatever that may be, even if that means “disappointing” a few people …. This life / this journey is wayyy to short & tomorrow is never promised.
My list is relatively short and based on lessons I learned in 2022. I call my new year's resolutions "Goddess Goals" and treat them like intentions, so I don't fold under the pressure of unrealistic expectations.
Love reading everyone's lists ... here is mine.
@FutureHeart2023 ooo I wanna copy yours
Bobodovatee love this post! Enjoyed reading everyones! It'd be nice to get an update at the end of 2023 but baby steps..!
Mine are:
-Start bouldering classes (wish me luck, have a degree of vertigo
Learn to drive!
embrace & utilise my masculine energy more.
Play more (laugh at & with myself & at times the absurdity of life!)
@4cuddles you'll get an update from me by January 3rd 😅
@lightvibes 💗💗💗 I just absolutely LOVE that!!!! Its an everyday sort of resolution. Thanks for sharing!!
I never try to give myself too many resolutions to work on cuz I seem to give up half of them so the small amount I’ve started on would be:
I used to do 2 mile walks almost every day, but I’ve just started upping it to 3 miles.
I’ve been making my own iced coffees and drinks at home using sugar free creamer instead of spending so much while I’m out on sugary drinks. I freeze the creamer and when it’s like an ice cube I just blend two of the “ice cubes” with some coffee. 😋
Try to talk more with my mom. I don’t have a great relationship with her. We were amazing together growing up but when I came out as bisexual and at that same time divorcing my incredibly abusive husband, she treated me like a freak. But that was years and years ago so I’m trying to repair this relationship little by little 😌
Actual obtainable : I need to figure out what the hell to do with my hair. I don't wear make up or wear jewelery often so this is a huge undertaking for me.
It was ringlets/curly up until like age 6, and now is mostly loose inconsistent beach waves. Any day other than wash day is a toss up. I've seen enough tik toks about curly hair wash with a bowl and curly dryer attachments and it is intimidating.
And a better suited shampoo/conditioner brand. I didn't do haircuts during the pandemic, got one a few months ago and I'm still finding split ends ugh. I might have to do a big chop, which I'm not a fan of 😔
