@dave31415 its called copanopp.net
@KozyKim yeah I think the "friend" part is what's throwing @Mike403 off as it does me too. I don't see myself considering someone I just met or who I've to pay to hangout with my friend. I also agree with your take that it is mainly attractive women who'd have luck there. Unfortunately, many aren't there with your kinda mindset that they really just want a pleasant activity partner. I think many men who respect boundaries still would go with the person that's more attractive to them and I can't really blame them. I think that's just life and how certain businesses are dominated.
I do, like you, however see the value such a service could provide, such as if you're traveling somewhere once in a blue moon or on a short notice and need someone to give you a 'friend experience' or a friend away from friend experience lol. Instead of going through developing friendships in a new city or country that you may really not go to all that often. I'm sure there are other instances it could also provide value. However, I'd encourage making actual friends whenever possible and not letting that be a replacement or dominate one's social circle. I think it's good as a supplement for some.
I'm a little surprised at how much criticism I'm reading here, from a group of people who are on a site that gets pretty much the exact same kind of criticism!
"Cuddle strangers? That's what your partners/friends/family/pets are for!" "OMG, pay for cuddles, you must be some kind of loser to have to pay someone to cuddle with you!"
Is it really that hard to imagine that you might want to do something with someone, but there's no one in your current friend group who wants to do that thing with you? Make friends? That is so much harder than it sounds, especially for some people, and especially for a specific activity.
@xelda
Yea, finding friends or even just an acquaintance to spend time with can be really difficult so I can actually see the use of this! Especially for those that are travelling and don’t want to fork out a whole lot for a tour guide. 🤔
@xelda yep. Ironic for sure!
I joined the site rent a friend first but no one has ever rented me...so I joined this site. 😊
@xelda very well said. Totally agree with you.
@xelda - People criticize something they don't understand. I thought this was a little weird at first, but now I see this site as in the same category as a massage parlor. It all comes down to that people are paying somebody to touch them.
I never heard of this but the idea sounds cute. I definitely need a volleyball friend in the spring and someone to go swimming with on the regular in the summers. Hmm...
Love this thread! I’d never heard of RaF.
@KozyKim Love the stories!
