Folks, I'll be looking at reports and reviewing the karma when I get to a computer this afternoon. Thanks.
@samcuddles80 I understand where you’re coming from. There’s an element of reading the room, and in this situation, the site.
I totally understand where you’re coming from and your feelings are valid. I completely believe you when you say you had no bad intentions.
As it currently stands though, anything you repeat is coming across as desperation and is probably just going to turn off a large number of people, male or female reading this. I humbly suggest just chilling for a bit. And if this happens again, work with the mods privately and don’t make a thread about it.
There are numerous incidents of dudes doing exactly what you’re doing and the forums eat them alive because it ends up they do end Ip being genuinely creepy folks who don’t know how to quit while they’re ahead and cut their losses.
Don’t be one of those guys! I applaud you for receiving feedback gracefully and making changes based on that feedback; that itself is huge and puts you way ahead of any of the other creepy weirdos!
I hope that you can resolve any unfair karma issues you have with the moderators, and that your future interactions with people in the site can be more favorable. Cheers.
@VinDin thank you so much for your kind words. I’ll change “desperation “ with “frustration”. But otherwise, what you said is valid and I will gladly take your advice. Have a wonderful day!
@samcuddles80 I recommend that if you have concerns over revenge karma , or karna being left that isnt accurate, to contact the mods directly to ask them to review and if grounds for it ,.having it removed . Good luck.
Not taking her or his sides, since we shouldn't take sides without asking and letting the person(s) explain themselves first? OP comes up with a question, and there are people answering him: no, it was wrong to leave karma without a session. Unfortunately both karmas were inappropriate. What's worse is none of the karmas provide transparent explanations. But unsolicited non-constructive judgements shouldn't be welcomed.
Of course there are (maybe unintentional) red flags from OP, but innocent until proven guilty, and imho he responds positively to the honest and constructive feedbacks.
Karma can only be left if the proposed and agreed to session took place and both people met or if someone was a "no show". If neither of those occurred the Karma is removed. If there was a scheduled session with one person leaving negative Karma and the other leaves retaliation Karma, usually the retaliation Karma is removed, but an investigation is done to hear both sides out and weigh what happened. Some times it ends with both individuals having their Karma removed (but logged for the mods to still reference to), them being mutually blocked from one another and both told neither is allowed to leave Karma. At that point. both sides have been told to stand down on the matter and any further attempts to leave Karma is viewed as harassment which can result in a serious Warning or Ban.
Closing this up. All eye-for-an-eye karma deleted from OP and the two Pro accounts.
Reminder to everyone. Karma is for after-two-parties-have-met OR for no-shows. We ask anyone and everyone to report karma that has been left when the two parties have not met yet - we will gladly delete these. In cases of payment disputes, don't drag this through the forums or in karma, please - work with each other and work with a mod to work it out. Mutually block one another, but there is no need to drag these retributions into forum threads.
