How do you like to set the mood for cuddling?

edited January 2018 in General

So cuddling for me has a lot to do with setting a Zen/relaxation zone. I bring candles, play music, wear comfortable cloths.

How do you like to set the scene before a cuddle? If you like music played what kind do you play?

I think this could help everyone learn some new things to try and see if it helps make the cuddle that much more enjoyable.

  • @o0ashley : is this question mainly for the professionals? Although I am a seeker, not a professional, when I had a session I started it by playing some hilarious rap songs that make fun of Whole Foods Market, Kombucha, Yoga, Mixologists, public cell phone users, followed by some grunge, which brings out my deep feelings. I think that I may be on my own on those songs, though, and not likely the type of reply you were expecting. However, for me the most intimate part is falling asleep. At that time I just want to hear the beat of her heart and the sound of her breath.

  • 3 things-Disco ball, goggles, and an actual French mime

  • @pmvines - Where were all of those things a week ago???

  • Good highgiene check!
    Comfortable clothes check!
Greeting and knowing how they're check! Hug check! Hold hands probably check! :)

Giving massage - especially head and shoulder I would like to start with to help my partner relax. If they like. :)

    Taking turns with music choice.
Usually I like upbeat Pop/EDM/ music though some times I do like a more relaxing music. I also don't mind a more silent atmosphere, some TV, conversing, etc.

    :)

  • @Blueiris eh, maybe next time, if you are lucky

  • @calineur no this post is for everyone. I know there are people that host that might set the room up a certain way to get comfortable. Really anyone can have preferences and hey I'm always open to new ideas

@all so if you are playing music do you use pandora or youtube or something else? I use my sam to make a music mix but I'm starting to think there has to be an easier way. lol

  • @o0ashley - I bring a small Bluetooth speaker which plays the music from my phone. Even the tiny speakers like the Turcom TS 450 are more than powerful enough, and it has surprisingly good bass. I make playlists ahead of time on the phone, so it's always ready.

Whenever I read this thread title I think of Sebastian in the Little Mermaid with his line:

    "First...we must create...da moooooood."

    Who's with me. :p

Jaaaazzz! Insense, salt lamp, tea light candles, throw blankets, crystals, light snacks, water/tea, fireplace or the fireplace on the tv. a projector would be cool that put stars on the ceiling.

And smelling nice! as someone mentioned hygiene is very important for both parties and can make people fall into a deeper relaxation because youll be able to squish up next to them without feeling awkward. Some eye contact brings me some comfort, I feel like it helps connect with my cuddle buddy, and makes them feel less like a stranger, and more like a friend.
    Happy cuddling!

    (:

  • @pmvines and @BlueIris Discoballs... and Donna Summer, please.

@oOashley I do a few (very few) amateur massage exchanges via a website that matches folk for such a thing. I used the same music I use for massage, for the one cuddle I hosted at my home. I have Amazon Prime and Echo (a/k/Alexa). I had Echo search for music using terms like serenity, spa, massage and sleep, and then had Echo save them to a single playlist. It is nearly 5 hours long, but I can add or delete anytime. I just tell Echo to play that playlist, and it goes.

  • @Sideon - Oh that's a hell yessss on the Donna Summer!!!!

  • @greybeard... Alexa is the best! I can adjust the playlist and volume without leaving my cuddle position. It's right next to my bed.

I got the first one as a gift when they first came out. I thought it was a useless gadget. Now I also have an Echo Dot on my nightstand, and I use it for all kinds of things.
