I understand you want it to be out of your choices. I picked simulation. I would say life is a gift. I seldomly believe life is always good. I also think it's your perspective and the the actions you apply to it to make changes to the world that make it worth living.
I feel invigorated due to me leaving my W-2 job and opening my own business. Life is fun to me when I get to be surprised that my pessimism is proven wrong, because the outcome is something I would be happy to see.

To me, life is one of many journeys we get to experience (and have experienced) …. I could be wrong.

Life as we know it is the constant march of causality. It was my destiny to not pick one of those options but to write this reply.

I believe the same thing, but it is based on “believing”, as well as other factors I have to “believe” as well.

Life is what you make it.
We all have a starting point - genetics, family circumstances, early childhood experiences, a combination of nature and nurture (a safe loving home or an abusive environment) we had zero control over.
Over time, all of us gained a certain degree of control over our circumstances through our choices. Those choices opened some doors (created new opportunities) and closed other doors (temporary opportunities we did not pursue).
The amount of control and the exact nature of the opportunities are not equally distributed due to countless variables. As a former teacher of mine was fond of saying “It’s not right, it’s not wrong, it’s just the way it is.”
Regardless of our starting point / past, which we are powerless to change, we all have some degree of control over our present and our future.
I do not view life as a competition where I have to outperform my neighbor, co-worker, or anyone else on any measure (bank account, size of house, social media followers, etc). To me life is about making the best choices I can for me to move as far as I can in a positive direction from my starting point AND trying to influence the world around in such a way that more people in the future will have a better starting point than I did.
Not enough choices, but whatever this world is, its strange, beautiful, and cruel.
I often wonder... I often think… I observe, I feel, I taste, I hear…. I AM SELF-AWARE!
The universe is a vast expanse of space, motion, energy, darkness, chaos and order. I am a part of that universe! Because I am self-aware, and because I am a part of the universe; THE UNIVERSE IS SELF-AWARE.
In this life, I am an expression of our self-aware universe. At least, that’s how I see it.
I think it's all energy, a projection of your mind. You can certainly make it hell but I think that comes from innaction more than action. It can also be like heaven, those moments seem to be fleeting but they're there.

Life is like a choose your own adventure book. All the multiple choices and diverging paths but at the end of the day you’re still making your way towards the same outcome no matter the choices you make. However your experiences along the way shape how you view and accept that outcome at the very end.
Life is meant to be lived. Enjoy it.

How this all really came to exist, whatever reason I’m part of the universe, it is what it is. I accept that I probably won’t know all of the answers. I believe a key to enjoying life is to not try to control or change others. I decided when I was really young that I would be mostly happy, fulfilled and live with a sense of adventure.
