Authenticity

  • @Touchdeprived20 it depends on the person you are cuddling. I have met paid cuddlers who were a diamond in the rough, and on the other hand I have met non paid cuddlers that were terrible at being human

I agree cuddling shouldn't be about a transaction, but there are many professionals here on cuddle comfort.com who are worth so much more than what they charge, genuinely care about your needs, don't make your session feel like a business deal.

    Weather your paying for
cuddling or not- me and many others know its worth looking for these amazing people, but youve got to choose for yourself: is it worth it spending time to find even find them?

  • @Touchdeprived20 I’m a pro and I do this for the money (I’m a single parent with a child in college) AND because I love cuddling, I’m very affectionate and love meeting people’s needs. I can’t afford the time for cuddling if I weren’t making money, but I truly do care about my clients. I WISH I could do this for free, but I can’t right now. But I absolutely care and want what’s best for my clients and I think they know that.

"What a terrible exploitative service you are offering"

-Says the client handing over his money

  • Oh my gosh you're spitting pure truth absolutely on the money. all I seek is authentic deep reception and after 3years there has been almost no one on here for that

  • My kids’ teachers claim that they love kids and that teaching is their calling. I tried to explain to them many times what worthless hypocrites they are. Since they insist on being paid to teach, there’s just no way they could genuinely care about or form an authentic connection with kids.

    Amirite?

It’s sad. Having found zero authentic teachers (as evidenced by their willingness to teach for free), my kids will have no choice but to remain ignorant. Well, there are worse things to be, I guess. I mean. I turned out OK.

Yet another thread to complain about pro cuddlers . Awesome 🙄

  • edited January 2023

I suspect that you’re looking for validation that you’re worthy of physical affection and that you won’t trust that validation if it comes from someone you’re, paying.

If this assumption is right, you probably won’t feel “whole” after a pro cuddle. But I suspect the issue is more about your sense of self-worth, than any lack on the part of the cuddler.

    Good luck.

@MonkeyNeedsAHug I saw it as the opposite of mocking. I saw it as poking fun at people who have unrealistic expectations and a justification for someone charging for a cuddle. Authenticity is in the eye of the beholder. But you won’t know someone is authentic until you meet them for yourself.

After all, they could be a hologram.

Lots of people love what they do, and may be fond of the people they do it with and for, and still expect to get paid. That's normal. I've been seeing the same dentist for years. He's a nice guy--we're both musicians and we make small talk about music. I don't doubt that he likes me enough, but I'm not the under the illusion and that I'm a true "friend" or that he would want to have a relationship beyond the time he needs to spend with me for dental visits. Maybe, maybe not. That's fine--the main thing is that I get my dental needs met.

Let's say I hire a 22-year-old female cuddler who's very sweet and pleasant during our time together. I'd know that if I wasn't paying her, not only would she most likely not want to cuddle with me, she'd probably consider it downright creepy considering that I'm old enough to be her daddy. You could say that I could solve the problem by hiring someone closer to my age, but I'm just using age as an example--there could be all sorts of reasons someone wouldn't want to cuddle with me or might even think it was creepy, but are willing to do it for a healthy paycheck. I would have no way of knowing this. The only way to know for sure that someone wants to be with me for me and isn't torturing themselves for money is to not pay them.

I really don't want to be with someone who even might be thinking that it's creepy.

That's what works for me. If you're willing and eager to shell out the $$$ for this kind of situation, then Godspeed.

  • @MonkeyNeedsAHug i understood and it was spot on. But teachers in the old days there were many more authentic people in the profession, who wished to teach kids how to think rather than what to think. Anyway I trust my cuddlers more than today’s teachers.

  • And yet another post dripping with misogyny and bro culture. Will they ever learn to be empathetic human beings…. Doubtful. Will they learn to blame their own lack of personality and the gaping hole in their innate virtue (virtue here meaning any positive quality not religious) on women? Also seems unlikely.
There is a word for when men only value other men but are straight. Not sure that term can be spoken aloud in this context but I’m implying it. Nothing wrong with it but recognize it.
Take your misogyny to a private room where you can pat each others backs without getting your bro culture all over the rest of us. 🤢🤢🤢

@stormydaycuddle lol, HASHTAG ALLMEN AM I RIGHT SISTER????
I think you are the one who needs to learn empathy. Take that dogma back to twitter/tumblr where you found it.

@TruePower that was one of the MOST misogynistic things I’ve ever read. The bar is so low here but somehow you nailed it.

If you don't think hiring a pro will be a positive experience, you have two choices: try it and see or stick to looking for enthusiasts. It's not brain surgery or something to agonize about. Try it or don't.

  • I'll chime in here, I've talked to a few pros on this site, they seemed like really nice people, some were in bad places in life and needed the money or were dealing with grief. I also am not looking to find a pro and found an enthusiast instead but I'm sure if you take the time to talk with one of the pros and know them a little. Youl get an authentic experience. When you speak to someone a bit and pay attention to the way they put their words together, it tells you a lot about them.

You're really 36 and think this way? I thought that was reserved for twenty-somethings that have never stepped off a campus of school. But, I digress. I'm going back to treating every human being with respect, admiration, appreciation and gratefulness while still being a strong man and protecting those I love and that love me. When you look at human history, men are the protectors and providers. Your, "woke," ideology and whatever echo chamber you live in isn't going to change that. Who do you call when you get a flat tire? Need furniture moved? Simple analogies, but honestly, you just seem really mad and lack an objective assesment of reality.

  • [Deleted User]justwanthugs (deleted user)

My opinion is there is no way to see someone's heart and know they are authentic or not. However, some pros on here take the time to get to know you and let you get to know them before you even meet them. To me, that is as authentic as you can get without having a "relationship", which is not the purpose. It really depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for something more than just a transaction, find a pro that will take the time to get to know you. Otherwise, look for someone else. Others have compared this to going to your doctor or dentist. I chose my doctor or dentist in part because they are engaging, willing to listen, are open to new ways of doing things and are good at what they do. Those sound like good criteria in this arena as well.

    @justwanthugs

"My opinion is there is no way to see someone's heart and know they are authentic or not."

I have to push back on this. It's called trust.

  • edited January 2023

@Saysoh yep, I’m 36. Your hypocrisy reigns supreme. Yes, I’m still acting like misogynistic behavior is despicable and inhumane. P.S. when I need a tire changed I use a Jack to lift the car while I loosen the lug nuts so on and so forth.

  • [Deleted User]justwanthugs (deleted user)

@Saysoh I'm not talking about people in your family or people you have a close relationship with. I'm talking about the original subject, which is whether a pro cuddler is authentic. Like I said, to me, you can't know 100%, but you can get a good idea if they are willing to get to know you. Those that don't, to me, are just more of a transaction. And that's ok, if that's what you are looking for.

    @stormydaycuddle

You completely missed my point and what hypocrisy? I'm stoked you can change a tire, but the house or apartment you live in, built by men. The Starbucks and Wal-Mart, too. Imagine that

If you're talking about perspectives, we can have a conversation about that because from where I'm at based on your comments, the sentiment you are projecting is men should fall in line and follow your narrative. Is this a good time to bring up how many men have died in wars for you to impose your ideology to others? Look, we feel, we love, we're part of a family, we understand loyalty and character, but for me, I know I'm loved and you throwing misogyny around like it's every man that in this way is a complete disconnect. Some of us are very empathetic. Shocker, right? It would be very easy for me to say every woman is a radical feminist, but I don't.

Sorry for being a strong man, but not really. You're just being a bully and I'm pushing back. Take your idea of feminism to a private room while we, "Bro out," in a private room. Our room will be bonding and y'all's will just be mad.
