Who's watching GET BACK? Whatcha think?

I've enjoyed it. Currently watching a second time just to catch the minutiae.

  • Ohh is this the new Beatles documentary on Disney+ ?? 😮😮

It puts The Beatles and especially Paul McCartney in a different light but I find it sort of boring after a while.

  • @rob241 yes it is. I'm watching it a second time just to catch all the stuff I missed the first time. I'm fascinated by their creative process, which seems a bit tedious, but that's the way it works. There's a difference between writing a song and crafting a song. It's like poetry. I can write a poem, but a true artist crafts their poems.

My sympathy for George Harrison is also growing. I think he would have been content to perform, just him and his acoustic guitar, onstage without all the fluff.

@XYZ_Road yes. Paul, the one who kept talking everyone else into coming back, who finally broke them up himself.

  • No. But I bought the action figures and built a dollhouse where I can act out everything that was ever said about them. It comes with Yoko, Linda and a separate room I keep in the garage for Julian. He gets a different Cuddle Comfort doll every night.

  • For some reason I thought this was the show on Netflix where exes get back together and see if they stay together … (coulda been Hulu 🤷🏻‍♂️)

In all seriousness I marveled at the whole thing. I now understand Yoko's observation of John being an introvert. Without Geoff Emerick (who left during the White album and returned for Abbey Road), The Beatles wrestled with this material for decades before getting it engineered and mixed right. And Billy Preston!! OMG!
