The biological matter that makes up us is cooked inside the cores of stars. At the end of a star's life, it explodes and spreads the matter throughout the universe. We would be correct when we say that we are literally star stuff.
Am I the only one who gets that freaking creed song stuck in my head when I see this thread? Just. Make . It. Stop .

What is this life?
Baby don’t hurt me, don’t hurt me no more.
“The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself.”
― Carl Sagan
"What is life but an unpleasant interruption to a peaceful nonexistence."
― Jean-Paul Sartre
“I believe in nothing but it is my nothing”
—-Richey Edwards
This life is what we make it while living within its boundaries.
"God long ago drew a circle in the sand exactly around the spot where you are standing right now. You were never not coming here. This was never not going to happen."
(You can of course replace God with whatever higher power works for you.)
