Does make you wonder if there is any correlation between not reading profiles and not getting return messages? 🧐
Another thought is when I joined I didn’t message people here very well. I thought I was. But looking years back , I think I have gotten better at messaging profiles today . 😊
Who knew that reading would be so important in this day and age? Our point and click society is not used to have to exercise 1) critical thinking or 2) crafting meaningful and thoughtful messages that 3) show they are literate and are at LEAST going halfway when responding to someone's profile.
IDK. Call me mean, but I think those not reading profiles and sending out no-content, no-effort "Hi" messages are lazy.
Amen and halleluiahs to @MissAdventurous .
@Mike403 That was...
@Sideon Hi!
returns to my hammock
@Sideon You are mean, as you requested.
You are mean
Yeah he is. Carries a blown glass shank from one of his art projects.
@FunCartel - Ohai! Glass shank? Accurate.
@Mman - thank you. I am mean. Ferocious. I wear Wonder Woman Underroos. Galadriel is my spirit animal. But I'm shortish and huggable/cuddlable.
Since this thread has already been hijacked let me share what I found via Google that describes our Super Mod.
S is for special, you are you know!
I is for inspire, others seek your guidance.
D is for diamond, the brilliance you shine.
E is for empathy and your consideration for the feelings of others.
O is for ornate, nothing plain here.
N is for neighborly, friendly to all acquaintances.
I do, although there are many incomplete profiles - especially non-pros.
I do read profiles. Usually several times. I am both trying to form an impression of the person and screening for any terms and conditions that are deal-breakers for me (such as advance deposits). That said, it's clear a lot of potential cuddle partners don't read mine --- I wish I had a dollar for every conversation that began with someone asking me, "So have you done this before?" ;-)
@rebbeling I’m learning through this post, that untagged pros is a thing. I had no idea. @quietman775 suggested I put the “non pro” status on my profile so I added it. Hopefully that helps!
@UncleDave I’m glass half full too
@ChessGirl That’s a great idea. Also, love the cat pic!
@pmvines and @Mike403 Hilarious!
@carrieanne Thats a great idea.
@sunnysideup @Originalirish @MissAdventurous Totally agree
@DaytonCuddler Agreed. My profile is short and mostly just includes logistics..
@Maverick07 Same with men. I do still read them.
@quietman775 For real. Meanwhile you’ve got like a billion karma lol the information is literally right there.
Well, if my family is to be believed, I don't even read owners manuals, nor directions to where I'm driving.
Neither of those are very interesting . . . and I can always take the Dirk Gently approach to driving. But profiles on CC are usually interesting, so I read them.
Ive seen lots of boobs on here today so I'll be typing away @AZcuddles602 if you need ne for anything ok ? Good talk
@OhioMike oh I got a response today. But then her profile says pro pending. Lol. My point proven yet again haha !
I haven’t taken the time to read all of the responses to this yet so this may be redundant but I definitely read profiles before I message (if there is anything there to read). I feel like you won’t get an accurate idea of the general attitude on the site because most of the people responding to the poll are people that are actually invested enough in this site and what it’s really about to look at the forums. For me the profile is really important. If there’s nothing there I’m not going to send a message. Beyond that I actually try to consider if they seem like someone that I would actually be interested in getting to know and would be able to talk to. The conversational part of a cuddle is something that I think is really important and not considered enough. My favorite person to cuddle with right now is also one of my favorite people to talk to. The cuddles are great because we talk and our conversations are elevated because of the closeness of the cuddles.
I have been surprised by the number of pro profiles I have run across that are one sentence long, and read something like "My friends say I'm loving." I have to wonder if they are doing much business.
@Melancholy good for you ! 😊 it definitely puts one in a good mood when messages are in the inbox.
And so glad to see a new professional cuddler begins the journey here on CC . So happy to hear that! What a great growing community to be a part of 👍
Looking at the OP poll numbers it looks like a larger percentage do respond that yes men do read profiles before messaging. Great news everywhere!
Can't speak for all men, but I personally read every word of a profile, and every word of the karma left for that person, before I ever reach out and make contact. I don't want to waste anyone's time -- mine or theirs!
I'm more likely to read a profile than I am to initiate a conversation. So for every message I write, I probably view that profile over and over several times trying to make sure I read it correctly and have something relevant to say.
@OhioMike I honestly can't tell if you're joking or not. Haha. Oh my goodness. This is funny
S is for special, you are you know! I is for inspire, others seek your guidance. D is for diamond, the brilliance you shine. E is for empathy and your consideration for the feelings of others. O is for ornate, nothing plain here. N is for neighborly, friendly to all acquaintances.
Am I the only one who was reading this like a song in their head? Not quite sure about it flowing that way lol. Oh my God, can someone make this happen? 😀
I do top to bottom, I want to know who I'm talking to and also get ideas to use as conversation starters.
I don’t read the profiles tbh its just tedious I look mostly on the profile pic and location
I don’t think most guys read the profile to the fullest, especially pros’ profile. We’re not looking for a date or even a friend, just someone to ease our loneliness for an hour or two. We’ll base it on their photo and how much a pro is charging and how far they are.
