I went to visit one of my employees yesterday who was working at a customers house. When I got there, the customer invited me in and offered me a seat. His phone rang which he answered and after talking for a bit, the man started to cry. He was an older Armenian man probably in his mid 60s. He hung up the phone and apologized and said his Sister is upset at him and he feels alone, said he doesn’t have any other family of friends. I felt bad for him, I could feel his sadness. He offered my employee and I some coffee. We accepted and sat with him for awhile until he seemed to be better. When we were leaving, he said please don’t say goodbye, just say I’ll see you later. When I saw my employee this morning, he told me he felt bad for the man and said it was sad. Moments like this really hit me hard, I feel bad for people like this that are in distress. I don’t have a perfect life but my life is filled with people that love me and I’m never alone. I hope everyone takes a moment out when you see someone in distress, a small gesture of kindness may make a world of difference in their life.
