Going the distance

Would you rather professionals include the cost of travel in their hourly price or included afterwards so that if you're really close to them you may not have to pay at all? And doing this the p but everybody would end up paying the same hourlyeople close by would end up covering some of the cost of the people far away. So yes included in the cost so instead of 100 an hour it would be $150 or keep it $100 an hour then when you're 4p in our commute you pay an extra $50 for gas and time. These aren't literal prices this is just an example.

  1. Should we add the cost of travel into our hourly rate?56 votes
    1. Yes! I like to just think of it in the clear cut hourly rate.

    2. No! I always only cuddle people within 15 minutes of me.

  • I say keep separate but have any travel cost after certain time/mile away listed in profile. If the overall price is to high from the start you might end up with less people even looking to book.

  • It looks like there should have been a 3rd option that just says “keep them separate” (which is what I would vote for). Cuddles are usually charged by the hour and travel by the mile (even though there is a time component to travel, it is independent of cuddle time).

So far I have only paid travel 1 time because I usually hire pros who host or when I am traveling and I am staying close to where they are located.

  • Definitely keep them seperate.

The 1 hour sticker price is a basis for comparison. It has to mean the same thing for everybody. Some professionals don't charge for [small amounts of] travel, others don't travel at all.

A summary of travel charges should always be stated clearly in the profile, and a firm price quoted before the formal booking is made.

  • I actually find both of your responses very helpful. I wasn’t sure if I was imposing to much by asking anything at all for travel but when round trip was almost 4 hours for one cuddle I knew I had to do something. I will definitely make a note of travel costs in my profile now! Thanks Cuddler’s! 🥰😘😌

  • Hercules is my absolute favorite Disney movie. This posts title created a momentary 1:30 am kareoke session until my roommate stopped snoring in the other room. I think I should go to bed. My comments seem to be getting too loopy. Might go watch the movie…

  • Darn it… Now I have Cake stuck in my head. I won’t leave that link. Okay, I’m going to bed.

I think if travel costs are included in the cuddle fee then it increases the amount that goes to CC.

  • I'm going for speed

  • I'm glad I didn't start singing that one at 1 am. My roommate would have kicked me out of my own house and I would have accepted it. Ugh. lol

I do feel bad for derailing this thread. The OP has a good question. Here is my take... If your price is going up because you are traveling somewhere else, say another state, and your price for cuddling somewhere else needs to be a little higher, it should be included in the cost. In that case, I (Personally) feel that's a new price, and while I'm not like, woohoo, fees!!! the site does deserve its cut for being a booking facilitator. (Fees are reasonable. The price of tipping at a restaurant)
If, however, you are traveling, say, 20-30 miles for a more local cuddle, I'd say post the fee on your page outside the price of your cuddle because this is directly for gas to get to a cuddle. about the way TOS is written, let mods* know,(correction auto correct said me. I think those things are better directed at them. LOL. ) I don't travel locally to people, so my pricing is always reflected in my base listed price. Maybe covering a hotel for hosting should be a separate charge that isn't in the site fees? I can see how there would be an argument for that. When in doubt, follow what is in TOS, look it up, ask a mod, and if it isn't there, use your best judgment.

  • @stormydaycuddle I really enjoy your posts.

This is a good thread altogether.

  • @achetocuddle ty! 🤗🤗🤗🤗

  • im very happy this thread was derailed....lmao

  • I do everything case by case basis because distance traveled isn’t akin to time in the car, dense city traffic. Someone could schedule me mid day and I’d be able to get to them in 15 mins, or rush hour and it’d be 1.5 hours each way.

  • Howbout don't even pay for cuddles. That's the best option. Just get a bf or gf etc. Or date someone or cuddle with a friend. Unless you're paying for cuddles to be able to avoid all the things I just mentioned.

@Rocket_Man Not everyone wants a full-time relationship, nor do boyfriends and girlfriends grow on trees. People who don't want to pay for cuddles always have the option of trying to connect with other enthusiasts, but even then, travel might be required.

  • @Rocket_Man you have some nice karma from some pros… For someone suggesting the opposite. The comment seems a little troll-ish

Saw this thread and thought it would be about folks leaving sessions early, not travel. I think travel fees should be separate and known up front to the extent possible

You are funny on the snoring of your roommate and getting kicked out of your own house.. LoL 😂
yes I love these Disney movies.
I can watch them at any time and any number of times. Good to watch before going to bed especially if you didn’t have a great day 👍

I answered no, but I do believe it should be something discussed prior to a meet. Nothing worse than a surprise charge that might have made you reconsider if it was more than you would have expected.

  • @interplanetary0
