Budgeting for Cuddling

So I wanted to start a discussion and ask: With inflation rising (not as bad as before though) and the high price of Pro Cuddlers (typically, most profiles I see are > $150), how do you budget to fit in a Pro Cuddler? Any tips or things to be aware of for those that decide to make recurring sessions?

  • I’ve heard some ppl say they take $20 or so out of their pay check every week or two and when they built up enough, they book an hour or two every couple months. When it comes to regular cuddles, like weekly, make sure all your bills and super important stuff is paid off and if you have any extra money then go for it. As long as your bills and whatnot come first! I’ve had to turn down some cuddlers because they were saying they have so many bills to pay and I certainly didn’t want to worsen that 😢😢

  • Budgeting for cuddling is just like anything else. You must prioritize your needs and be willing to accept substitutions.
Pack your lunch to work and avoid the restaurants. You can pack a healthy lunch for Lear than half the cost of a drive through meal.
Make your coffee at home and bring a thermos.
Buy the value products while shopping instead of name brands. Turn the lights off in your apartment or lower the heat and AC a few degrees .
If you value cuddling and human touch as much as I do you can easily save for much needed self care.

  • When I was really struggling for money and cuddling, the question I would ask myself before buying anything was simply, do I need this more than a cuddle?

In those days I would save for 2-3 months for one hour at £65.

It's all a question of priorities. You can live healthily forever on potatoes, whole milk and a few oats.

  • @Sheena123 100% Take care of the bills first, make sure you don't go into debt for this. If that's going well, yes, setting aside cash right off the bat is an excellent way to save.

Also agree with @Joe82_, just start cutting back on the more frivolous stuff.

If you grab Starbucks or sodas at the gas station or candy bars at the grocery store, stop. Drink water! It's healthier, and free.

When you're picking up food, have a note at the bottom of your list that says to stop and re-evaluate your cart before you check out. Do you have lots of snacks and candy that you don't need? Put them back before you check out.

Cancel subscriptions to things like streaming services (music, movies), food delivery, gaming apps, etc. Look at your credit card statement to identify some of those recurring charges you may have forgotten you're even shelling out money for.

When you go out with friends or family, cut back on what you order...do you usually get an appetizer, entree, drink, and dessert? Try just an entree and water. If you are a partier, do you usually get multiple drinks with your friends? Try sipping one or two and nursing water or iced tea in between. Be the DD. You can still enjoy social interaction without spending hundreds on alcohol in a weekend.

Buy items you know you use regularly, in bulk. Toilet paper, cereal, rice...if you can buy them in larger quantities, it's more upfront but much cheaper, per ounce.

There's some to get you started. :3

As a single guy, a cuddle session for an hour or maybe two is the equivalent of taking a date to a nice place to eat for dinner and a few drinks.

I’ll take the cuddle session over that anytime.

I just so happened to get a promotion and bonus at work so I have had way too many cuddles this past month. I’m going to try to budget just one cuddle session a month moving forward. Seems to be a reasonable cuddle budget until I can get some bookings or find a non pro cuddle buddy

I no longer buy street drugs or hookers.

  • typically, most profiles I see are > $150

Fortunately this is not true. Most pros are in the $100-$120 range, with some more expensive and a few less.

While cuddle money is not a major problem for me, I do make a little effort to keep costs down, largely by choosing less expensive cuddlers. I'm less likely to see cuddlers that charge over $100/hr, and if I do I'll often do a shorter session. I never see cuddlers that charge more than $150/hr. There is no consistent correlation between cuddle quality and cost. I've had great cuddles for $80/hr and mediocre ones for $150/hr.

  • Here is some good money savings I use for myself in general.
Take your paycheck and split it 50,30,20 percent

50%- need category- bills, grocery, insurances, etc basically the stuff that keeps ya going and ya need to survive.

    30%- want category- movies, cuddling, subscriptions,restaurants, gas,etc.

    20%- savings/ emergency fund.

Of coarse take your bills and see what percentage it takes it may be more like 60/20/20. Or you may not be able to have a savings yet so 70/30. But splitting monthly payments for bills by the paycheck instead of scrambling a few days before due date can help you.

  • @CuddleWho - The typical price range for an hour of cuddling varies considerably by location. It will tend to be higher in places like New York City or San Francisco than in places like Milwaukee or Kansas City.

  • I'm going through this right now, the last of my vehicle payments is done next month so that money could go to one cuddle each month if I choose without cutting into my house, phone, etc.

2nd, I'm cutting down on hobbies I've finished or could slow down on without pulling out of them completely especially ones that have gone up in price to follow

Well, that's true. But I live in the most expensive place in the US, and even here most cuddlers charge less than that. Also, I did a search within 50 miles of OP's location, and literally 7 out of 157 pro cuddlers (that's less than 5%) in his region charge more than $150. So no, I don't believe that most pro cuddlers OP sees charge more than $150.

That's the nice thing regarding simple factual claims about public data. It's very easy to look at the data and see if the claim is true. This one isn't.

@Mman in addition to that i just drink tap water and skip breakfast lunch and dinner I might just eat a snack I don’t pay utilities and that seems to help save some money I mean who really needs gas and electricity anyway I’m trying to get in touch with my Neanderthal roots lol 😂

  • Budgeting? For those that can’t budget and have cashapp or Venmo. You can choose a credit card as payment rather than your bank account as the source. Now go have fun and leave budgeting for the next person. You’re welcome professional cuddlers 😂😂😂

    @lonelytauros Go for it..lol

  • About a decade ago I was forced into a situation where I really had to take a step back and look at my finances. Since then I've been budgeting and screaming at the top of my lungs to every single person that didn't want to listen, about financial literacy.

Honestly, if it's between cuddling and food, or saving up several months just for a session, then I think the person should really reevaluate between their wants and needs.

If you don't have any personal financial literacy, I hope you realize that the boundaries stopping you from learning now will always be there. No matter what the excuse. It's not fun, it's not sexy, but knowing your own personal finances makes a whole lot of things options.

  • I'm afraid cuddling is a rich mans luxury

  • @pty1999 Not if he's looking to cuddle friends.

  • @pty1999 Depends on one’s definition of rich. I would definitely say fortunate. I am by no means rich. I am 60 and working for the next ten years is pretty much a necessity. But I also love what I do so I am fortunate.

I have had to make sacrifices when it comes to pro cuddling because I needed, yes NEEDED to build a new gaming PC (iykyk) so any disposable income that would have been used for pro cuddling now goes towards my electric bill to power this beast.

  • @Charlie_Bear 😂 Well it sure is a beauty.

@SunsetSnuggles It really is, thank you 🥹

  • And @Charlie_Bear never posted again...

  • @Charlie_Bear six hours of a warm body and nice music, or several thousand hours of entertainment/information/damn near anything you want? At this point I think they PC is a necessity 😁

  • @ohnonotagain I am definitely happy with it!
