Friends, I’m leaving the snowy Northeast for subtropical Fort Lauderdale for a long weekend. It will be beach and booze time for Ben. What are your favorite winter getaways? Where do you go to escape the snow?
I'm not a snowbird; I'm a snow bunny! 🐇 I go to the snow, it's my favorite. 😌 It's 0 degrees F right now, and I'm happy as a clam.

@SunsetSnuggles - I know what you mean. I was Ski Patrol, and taught skiing part time. I used to love snow and cold weather.
Just wait until your knees give out, like mine did. Now, I absolutely hate cold weather, and snow is worse.
See, I was a cold weather kid and have grown up to despise the cold LIKE A NORMAL PERSON. 🤣🤣

I do not go north of the Mason-Dixon Line when I travel until at least April
@FunCartel i was just in nokomis last weekend..it was the most beautiful beach,..so many seashells and so many dolphins..it was amazing

I love how you can reach down into the confectioner’s sugar sand and pull up several live starfish in just a few minutes of varying sizes. I always put them back.
Sanibel is one of the best places on the planet. Really special. New Orleans is one of my favorite cities. I haven’t been since Katrina, but will go back this year. Heading to LA in a few weeks!
Florida get aways .... Sanibel Island, Naples Park - Delnor Wiggins State Park, Cayo Costa Island. I also like Gainesville FL as you are a hour and a half from both East and West coast and multiple fresh water springs.
