  • It's a blanket statement for anyone reading this, my statement stands. A woman's standing on society has nothing to do with her appearance. πŸ˜‚

So πŸ₯‡. don't think you're TOO special and single yourself out sweetheart. Comparing to the 1600s just proves a point, and the only point you bring is comparing myself to a medieval church, you're hilarious and sadly hitting all the wrong notes with your tune buddy, the only medieval church thinking here is you.

Exactly right, well said, a woman speaking should be a woman heard
Your worth is in your own experience. Nothing to do with how it comes off to man, or anyone else for that matter
We have grown as society in some ways, but this idea that a woman invites anything g because of clothing choice is as dumb as it sounds
I am appreciative of the woman’s voices in this thread

@GreatHornedOwl Alright im going to engage you seriously now. You want to know why your argument makes no sense and is damaging? Here's why:

Why do the men get to dictate what is distracting or too sexual? Look at the extreme example of this where some men feel that women showing any skin at all is too sexual and temping to men. The point is, women have 0 need to care about your inability to control yourselves, it's not their problem it's yours, and men should be called out on their lack of willingness to self control/need to sexualize women in everything they do.

Stop trying to control women, start trying control yourself.

  • @Julesocean thank you for speaking up and being an ally, truly.

@GreatHornedOwl the analogies you keep choosing speak volumes. You sure do like to dig your hole deeper, and then you try to blame no enthusiasts wanting to cuddle with you on your age and marital situation. Big hint: it's neither, but rather your attitude.

What woman would feel safe cuddling with someone who speaks to and about women the way you do? And if this is how you speak about women publicly, I can only imagine how you come across in private messages. You're a walking red flag of misogyny, and I highly recommend you do some really deep work on actually listening to what women keep telling you. There's tons of workshops, therapy groups, and individual therapists who can help you unpack your problematic ideas about women and society if you ever want to be able to interact with them more successfully, platonically or otherwise.

Ahh @Cuddlefaery, your so very welcome
It’s bonkers that woman cannot just exist as they are, without having to defend the choice they make in clothing or otherwise
The fact that man still thinks they dictate this is disheartening to say the least
I hope that those reading this will listen to and take to heart what you and the other woman have been saying.

  • I'll back to clean up the misogyny. Locked for now. Prepare for Judgement.

  • This thread is so far off topic... and hence closed. But in parting, and no, there will not be further discourse or back and forth.

@GreatHornedOwl - your comments were flagged. Specifically:

"When a woman goes out in public wearing the skimpiest possible bikini, or a transparent dress, with her nipples visible, she does it for one, and only one purpose. That is to attract attention so that people (especially men) will stare at her. The very act of dressing that way sends an implied consent to stare. To believe that she is saying "look at my beautiful breasts, but ask for permission before you stare at them," is the height of absurdity.

A woman can be proud of her body without choosing to flaunt it. However, when she does choose to flaunt it, she does so because she wants to be looked at. For how many seconds is it okay to look at her before looking gets transformed into staring"

This behavior, this belief that women are objects, that women are responsible for a man's reaction, blaming women for men's lack of control - is unacceptable. Believe what you want, other men may agree, but the moment you (or they) say so out loud in this realm you're now on notice.

@MissAdventurous - @tacpmurg - @cuddlefaery - @KozyKim - and others - have rightly handed you your proverbial posterior. To further pile on: if gay men can be in locker rooms with naked straight men and not ogle, not assault, and not treat them like objects, then I don't give an ounce of credence to your obscene excuse that "men are genetically programmed to look." No sir, because no matter what a person does or doesn't wear, doesn't ever make it okay to assume that they're "asking for attention."

Disciples of Andrew Tate are not welcome here. Men who think/act that women are property, chattel, and objects are not welcome here. Treating women like there's some treatise or rule from the 1600's to follow is not welcome here.

You're advised to consider your future posts carefully, because if there is one flag or report that reeks of women objectified or posts unacceptable predatory behavior/perspectives, your account status will be evaluated. Think carefully on your words.
