i went public 🙌🏽

for some reason i hadn’t told anyone that i became a professional cuddler except for one of my close friends, and that was just for safety reasons.

i don’t know why i was keeping it such a secret but the other day i made a tictok about my experience and i’ve had about 30 people (mostly women) message me asking for the link to sign up as professionals too.

i’m glad i finally stepped out of the shadows lol. i think it’s important for us to talk about this site and what it’s really about. that way there’s less stigma and hopefully eventually all the weirdos will stop coming here 😂. by keeping it a secret ppl assume you’re doing something wrong

  • I was thinking about doing the same thing, making a tiktok about it, then answer questions as they come.

  • I tell anybody who will listen.

TikTok is how I found out about platonic cuddle therapy and I am so very grateful of the creators that continuously spread positive awareness about it!

  • That’s great that you found the confidence to be open about it! There’s no reason why anyone should frown upon it.. who DOESN’T love to get snuggled? 😃

  • I don't just love cuddling, I live to cuddle. It's goodness embodied within the hug, into the cuddle, into the snuggling up together. My heart thrives on this and I employ word of mouth as I am not a fan of social media for the most part.

  • @Hollydollhugs you should! i can tell by your energy you would be the perfect spokes person

  • @Charlie_Bear yay i love that 🙌🏽🙌🏽

  • @GrayMatter yes that’s beautiful 🥰🥰

Sometimes the synchronicity of timing in the universe makes me pause...

I had just posted this comment on a different site, different topic, but totally applicable here as well as it was the first thought to pop into my head:

The more those of us who can talk about it do, the safer it is for those who can't.

I try to live by this philosophy in any arena where privilege and social awareness still have impact - which is a lot still, frankly. Not everyone feels safe being out about being LGBTQ+, so I am. Not everyone feels safe being out about being polyamorous, so I am. Not everyone feels comfortable talking openly about their mental health struggles, so I do. The more we can destigmatize and normalize these these very human experiences through exposing those around us to our diversity, the more comfortable and safe it will be for everyone to just exist.

I actually love this impact from social media. It has opened up the world so beautifully those who felt voiceless before, connecting people in ways we could never dream of.

Thank you for stepping out as a voice 😊

  • @CuddleDuncan I was a little embarrassed at first. But then I realized how much it has helped me. Now I tell everyone about it too!

  • @cuddlefaery You are a beautiful light. 💫🧚‍♀️

  • I told a friend of mine who is an EMT in the town I live in. Well, he kind of had an idea something was up when he showed up at my hotel room to answer a 911 call...

my post has hit about 100,000 views 😭 if there’s an influx of new members you have me to thank 😂😂

  • @mimtheplantmom woohoo! 🎉🙌🥳

just let us know if any of them don't behave themselves, so we can all rain cuddlefury fire down on them 😈😇

  • This is awesome. I have told no one "in my real life" about my cuddling experiences except for my therapist (she is super supportive, by the way). Maybe one of these days I'll find the courage to be more out about it.

  • I told a guy who runs a MeetUp group I went to. He nearly died. He still invited me to hang out again, but I swear he thinks I'm completely out of my mind. 😂 So cute.

The percentage of weirdos is probably a constant. Don't shoot the messenger.

    @mimtheplantmom
Yay!! Congrats on being so brave!! 💖

I still feel a wave of anxiety/dread/excitement whenever I tell someone new, but it’s interesting to hear the reactions, and part of me really enjoys the shock factor. 😈

  • @Erin_Elle_ i think using social media made it easier cause it’s a bunch of strangers lol

  • @cuddlefaery i made sure to set the tone lol it didn’t seem like any weirdos were engaging with my posts
