@All_the_snuggs Thank you for the insights.
@1_teddybear I think you should just be upfront and say that you want to meet/chat/get to know/whatever. If they aren't making a move and you want to talk to them, send a message. Being rejected online is a lot easier to take than being rejected in person. All the social cues (like body language and eye contact) one would do to let another know they're interested can't really be done via text. You have to be more direct because things can become confusing via text. Honestly, all the beating around the bush feels a bit manipulative. I think you're overthinking things.
@unsocial_bee Fair enough, thank you for your perspective.
@1_teddybear My honest advice? Just rip the band-aid off and contact the person to see if they'd like to chat. Not even with the expectation of cuddling. Take the pressure off yourself and them by not having an end goal. Just enjoy the conversation
If they made a post you liked or something in their profile piqued your interest, lead with that. Even if you get along, don't jump in after a few messages with something like "So when can we get together and cuddle?"
Every conversation you have here may not lead to cuddling but it doesn't make those connections mean any less.
@Gaviota23 You could post a hilarious pic like @littermate does in her profile pic of an Xray that shows a skeleton wearing high heels. I admire that.
@Gaviota23 You don't have to send any picture you don't want to send and can respond with "Im not comfortable with that". Since you're a pro that may limit your clients, however. There are other threads in regards to appearance but long story short ppl have their preferences. I suggest posting one full body photo on your profile if comfortable to avoid the question. If after that anyone still asks for more photos then that's a red flag and you probably don't want them as a client anyway. Good luck!
@Vianca good answer.
Is it because this is same sex cuddling you seek and you're afraid the other party isn't open to it?
Just go for it..the meek don't inherit squat.
You got a lot going for you. Step up, take a swing
@TigerFan No, that's not the pitch i'm swinging at. And though i've connected at least once to the pitch I DO swing at, I also see that there is a great deal of missing involved. I pay attention to the general advice, but the bottom line is that it's difficult, at least in the beginning, and the beginning is where I am.
@1_teddybear There are endless ways to approach this, and you are correct, you do need to find the way you are most comfortable with and then practice it. Ideally, you should be you in your most respectful form. However, no matter how much you tweak your approach, perfect your profile, and put your best foot forward, there will always be more misses than successes on this site.
But that’s ok because it is not you. Some people have a type, some have left the site without shutting down their profile, some are caught up with real life, and there are a million other reasons why you supposedly “missed”. But when you find your people you will quickly forget all the misses. But until you take the plunge, there will never be a success. I understand your reticence, I was there a few years ago. But it does get better.
@FunCartel Thank you for the advice, and for the compassion. Cheers!
