It's a cold day outside.
It's raining outside.
It's your day off of work.
You lie in bed, maybe the room is warm, maybe it isn't.
That doesn't matter, because you are lonely. You want a hug.
Maybe you want just a hug, maybe you want snuggles.
Your peers seem to be mostly interested in partying, or dating eachother, or things-in-the-backseat.
Those older than you seem interested in eachother.
You haven't cuddled in months, and last time you did she wanted more, so things didn't work out.
You ignore it for awhile, maybe you play GTA as a law-abiding citizen, or try to because It's Difficult to Drive With A Keyboard.
Maybe you go for long hikes and enjoy being by yourself out in the woods, listening to the sounds of the earth.
You still yearn inside for the warmth, the feeling of arms around you, gently stroking your back, someone telling you it's okay to be emotionally vulnerable for a few minutes.
But there's no one.
Life didn't give you lemons.
It gave you oranges.
When life gives you oranges instead of lemons, it's hard to make lemonade.
So you make orange juice instead.
Get out the headphones, maybe listen to a requiem. Maybe a Dark Knight soundtrack. Maybe Sabaton. Maybe, you venture out and listen to new genres, new instruments.
Music is always there, waiting for you to come back
go make some orange juice, maybe add some ginger in this time
thank you for reading, hope yall have a good day (:
