Rejection

  • Saying “it’s so tempting to insult THEM” implies this is your “go to” response when rejected. Context is everything, if you were speaking of one situation were someone turned you down with an insult and you held back, than that would be you taking the high road. Just be careful how you word your questions, and responses.

  • I would also like to point out that even if it’s just one time where you felt compelled to be angry and insult the one person, that’s still not okay…I mean, sure, you didn’t do it… but the fact that that’s a feeling you feel towards someone that did nothing wrong (regardless of how you feel), is alarming. What if that craving to insult them out of anger turns physical?

She “made” you feel like you two could be together? Was she a pro cuddler? You know a pro cuddler is meant to be warm, endearing, caring. These are all traits good pros have. Is that and possibly her looks what made you feel like “it was meant to be”? Honestly, even if she said “I think we would be a good match as boyfriend and girlfriend” or even if she flat out said “I’d like to date you”, still isn’t an excuse to feel that resentment and anger to the point of lashing out at her. She’s perfectly in her right to say no to anything…

I know getting rejected sucks. I’ve had close friends of years and years suddenly vanish. It hurts. But even after that, I would never have these bitter feelings of insulting them. We are all simply advising you to do some introspection and dig deep to find out why you’re so quick to think these negative thoughts. If you don’t work on this, it could lead to worse.

  • Well to be honest I go to therapy and it’s something Im working on .

  • @jimboslice5014 that’s good 👍🏻 that’s a good start

  • I think its more I cant control my feelings and I need to use postive thinking.

  • Well, therapy is definitely a good step towards that journey of self healing. It can be hard but getting away from those bitter feelings and seeing the picture from the outside is a lot healthier. Good luck 👍🏻

  • I think entitlement needs to be addressed in our society. It may sound harsh but once we feel less entitled to another’s attention or attraction, and take things less personal, then we will run into those who like us just as who we are.

    Best wishes.

  • While the original post regarding rejection was sound, using this thread to complain about pros and pricing undermined it. Based on the multiple flags, I'm locking this up.
