I can see both sides of this. My paperwork says I was a resident alien at one point. And my parents seemed friendly enough. So I could see a bright side to this.
To answer the question more literally… Any civilization that was advanced enough to reach Earth, I would feel more than privileged to meet them. I would probably tell them they abducted the wrong person. Because I don’t represent the best that humanity has to offer. But I could probably point them in the right direction.

I mean... if the guardians of the galaxy abducted me to spend the holidays in space, then we cool. Best Christmas ever.
@cualtzin - you bring up an interesting point. IF aliens did visit earth, what would be their mission? Would they do a “Gorillas in the Mist” study like Jane Goodall where they would quietly watch us without interfering? Or would they be more like soldiers behind enemy lines looking for someone to talk to in order to learn more about us and possibly recruit someone to help them “from the inside”? Or would they view us more like animals and just capture a few of us to take back to their version of a zoo?
If they were wanting to capture specimens to take back, what criteria would they use to choose who to take? More knowledgeable people? The most physically fit people? The friendliest people (less likely to be aggressive)? This all makes for an interesting thought experiment given all the “Tik-Tak” UFO sightings by military pilots and sensors over the past 20 years (I.e. the Nimitz incident).
@JohnR1972 That’s the fascinating thing. Prior to meeting, we have no idea what their mission would be. And we would be powerless to modify that mission in any way. At least for many years to come. Except maybe through communicating and reasoning with them, if they deemed us worthy.
Regarding the selection criteria, I would say Yes, Yes, and Yes. And Yes to many other criteria. Just to even begin … musicality, intuition, leadership, perseverance, courage, empathy …. It goes on and on. But if you’re trying to find someone who represents the best of everything, you’re going to end up finding no one. So it would have to be a whole lot of people. It’s a curious topic. However, it’s fraught with danger when you start to work through it.
