Build a Bear powered by Cuddles?

So I've got a Star Wars Build a Bear that has an electronic element in the paw that plays the Star Wars theme when you squeeze it. Lately I've noticed that electronics seem to be wearing out as it's been playing only a few seconds of static, the kind of thing you would hear when batteries are running low.

Here's the weird part though... and I've managed to make this work on three separate occasions and so far it's worked every single time. The first time I thought it was just a coincidence that maybe it still had some power left. So when left unattended sitting on my bed for a while it goes back into sounding like the battery is dying mode. However after about 10-15 minutes of cuddles it starts working again as if nothing was ever wrong in the first place.

This sounds crazy, how the heck would cuddling effect electronics in a stuffed toy? However I also thought about the fact that there's no real way to open the bear up and replace the batteries without taking back to Build a Bear. I have seen the little electronic elements that go into these bears and even if I could open it up myself I wouldn't know how to replace the batteries in that part, from what I remember there doesn't really seem to be any obvious way to open it up to even get to the battery compartment and I have no idea what kind of battery is actually in there. So... are these things actually some how powered by cuddles?

    Since Mark Hamill voiced Chucky I would say it’s no coincidence at all should probably get rid of that bear right away lol 😂

    Perhaps it's the pressure that's exerted on the switch when you cuddle it, the switch is pushed into the correct position versus when you simply squeeze it to demo the sound unit

    The electronic part is in the right paw, I'm not putting ANY pressure on when cuddling and shouldn't activate it at all... well except for a couple times I've accidentally triggered it in my sleep and woken myself up as the music starts playing. lol There is no "demo" mode, it just plays when squeezed and that's it.

    Honestly even if it did completely stop working I'd still keep the bear, I never really used the electronic part that much anyway. I think I've actually triggered it on accident in my sleep more times than I've intentionally hit that button.

    Of course my memory is fragmented and my littles may have wore it out without me even realizing we were playing with it that much.
