I suddenly can neither open nor edit my own profile. When I click on my either my icon photo at the right end of the blue bar, or the down arrow immediately below it, nothing at all happens.
Has anybody else seen this? If so, how did you fix it.
I have not seen that. Are you sure you didn't block yourself?

I was going to try logging out and then logging in again, but with that down arrow not working there's no way to log out.
Upon further investigation, I can get to mu profile by clicking on my avatar photo in the messages screen.
@Mman I can access his profile without issue and I don't see anything on his account that would cause it to behave in that manner. It makes me think it's a browser issue on his end.
I left my keys inside my profile and now I am locked out. I kicked in the entrance to my profile and hurt myself. What kind of compensation can I expect from CC?
When it doubt, clearing your web browser's cache will solve most issues like this if they're only happening to you and not site-wide. It's a good idea to periodically clear your cache as maintenance if your antivirus program doesn't already do so as it helps free up space and prevent future issues - depending on how heavy your usage is, once a month is usually enough.
