Forgive me but this is one thing I have never been able to understand about normies so excuse my autism in all of this and I hope my unhealthy addiction to George Carlin style humor makes you giggle a little.
I have never understood how normies can accuse Nerds, NEETs and Hikikomori of being obsessed with video games and then go on to indulge their own autist-like obsessions with the outside world, we may like video games a lot but at least we don't pretend it's the only pass time worth having, when we're not playing video games we are probably doing something creative, like making more video games, unlike the real world, our world is extendable and improvable, not all kids want to go outside during school recess but sadly the library is off limits just because teacher doesn't want to lose her job!
but feel free to consider video games over real life as yet another annoying weeaboo meme, just like 2D > 3D and ending every sentence with Desu~
Another thing I tend to see is that most normies don't really understand what nature really is, it's not just trees and flowers, but also silicon and electromagnetism, dog shit and irradiated sludge drained straight from a fission reactor.
Nature is everything, I had to go on lengths with one of my hikikomori apustajas to explain that there is no fundamental difference between natural products and chemical products, that's just advertising lingo used to shaft you.
(hikikomori are also full of shit at times, but some of us are aware of the stink of our own bullshit)

Some people may never be able to understand that just because a social and cultural meme is popular does not mean that there are people who don't benefit from it or prefer other things.
Kind of like there are more than one kinds of 'therapy' which to most normies means seeing a shrink when therapy can be anything from programming, meditating, or finding your cat and putting him on your face when you need/want mofu-mofu
Normies prefer to go to the disco, where as I would prefer to go to a meditation chamber like this and listen to some Pink Floyd
This is yet another reason why I think acid should be legal, I won't go into detail so I recommend you check out Thomas Szasz on the subject of drugs for therapeutic purposes.
I personally prefer hugs over drugs but everyone should be free to decide for themselves and not force others to doing something that they do not feel comfortable with.
