CuddleComfort tee shirt?

[Deleted User]1_teddybear (deleted user)

it occurred to me that it might be a good idea to wear a cuddlecomfort tee shirt when I am out and about. Anyone who is familiar with the site might make themselves known and it could create a connection where we didn't know one was there. What do you guys think?

  • That would definitely work!
There’s also a link to printable posters at the bottom of the main page.

This is the T-shirt that I usually wear out in public

  • We could have a T-Shirt design contest. Here's my try.

That's pretty cool. I was trying to find the same Font as the web site. Haven't found it yet. Anyone happen to know the font name?

  • I haven't been able to find it either, but I not convinced that a script font is the best choice for a t-shirt. Besides, on a t-shirt, it would be more legible split into two lines.

  • I think that would be kinda odd but that's just my opinion. You don't see merchandise for internet sites and chat groups usually. I think it would be odd.

  • @pmvines - That's true, but are users of most internet sites and chat groups trying to meet other members?

Some are very social yes. My opinion is this is a website about a thing, and I think trying to merchandise that thing as a website specific activity and advertise the site on clothing would be strange. It would be similar to a tshirt for fet life or plenty of fish or city data

  • Lol. The mod team just talked about something like this the other day.

Strange or not, if it is legal and potentially productive, it seems beneficial. I would want to use the exact logo so it is clear what the site is. If someone asks me about it and they don't know the site, I can explain what its about. If they DO know what its about, then it's about recognition. Either way, I would want it to be obvious what the site is. As long as the owner or mods have no problem with it.

I could make some iron-ons quite easily. But not having the font is an inconvinience.

  • Few ideas …
Front: Cuddle me! - Back: What a mistake!

Front: pro Cuddler - back: yeah right

    Feisty Cuddle bug

    Wanna Cuddle fight?

CIA: cuddler in action (I think this is my favorite)

@Shake49 , ok, what was the result of the conversation?

  • @Shake49 haha that convo was actually from a convo I had with @1_teddybear

    @1_teddybear @GreatHornedOwl

The site font is called open sans.

You can figure out what font any website is in by looking at the code. (It's easy - right click, Inspect, and hunt around.)

Oh wait, you meant the logo.... that one is pacifico.

I think it’s a good idea if the site offered them for sale. The design would be the critical factor. For me, not too sentimental. And conducive to the task at hand. I would buy one even just as a souvenir, and to support a good cause. Also, for cuddling! But with someone that I already know.

I never seem to find shirts that fit just right. I would need one in “Extra Cuddly”.

I would even wear something simple like this.

I’d want one hoping to be asked about it so I could tell them about the site. Considering how few ppl on the site there are near me, it would be the only shirt I would wear when going out somewhere in town 😅

  • [Deleted User]cualtzin (deleted user)

@CuddlelessinLB That’s an excellent design. Elegant. Direct yet minimalist, thereby inviting questions. Because the subject matter isn’t fully explained. Better prepare your testimonial 😊.

  • [Deleted User]1_teddybear (deleted user)

@CuddlelessinLB I agree, that design is perfect. How can we make it happen?

  • The printable poster would be a good graphic to put on the back

  • I'd wear one!

  • [Deleted User]1_teddybear (deleted user)

Ok, if the site isn't interested in selling them, then I'll order my own from amazon.

  • Not something I would wear, but if someone were to start offering them, I would suggest adding ".com" to the end so people actually realize that it is a website.

  • I would also ask @Mark and @Gary about this since they may have restrictions on how their branding is used. Though that may be more applicable if someone was trying to profit off the use of their site/logo.

I really support the community doing these types of things and making sure there is plenty of freedom.

So speaking casually here, I don't see any issues as long as it's not for commercial reasons and associating the brand with anything that is clearly damaging to its image (e.g. non-platonic).

I will save this thread as a reference for when I look into the idea of merchandise.

  • Myself and a few others have cuddle-themed t-shirts that we wear to group cuddles or other cuddle events.

I wouldn't want one specific to the site since I am private and wouldn't want just anyone I ran into hunting the site down, but I love wearing my snuggle shirt to group events!

It's also nice because t-shirts are high-necked which cuts out the cleavage, and it gives a definite non-sexual vibe to the interaction.

    @mark & @1_teddybear

    How does this look?
I'll try some with some different images too. It wouldn't be difficult to offer them with a choice of images.

  • [Deleted User]1_teddybear (deleted user)

@GreatHornedOwl The shirt looks nice as far as that goes. But is it going on a blue shirt? Does the color of the shirt have any bearing on the quality of the image?
