Chat app

In the future does anyone know if the App will be getting a live chat function... Its hit or miss on being able to set up sessions , by time your pro receives the message , you end up missing each other .... just curiosity

What kind of issues are you having when trying to book through the booking panel? Are you discussing bookings with pros or just sending them out without contacting the pro first?

  • There should NOT be a live chat function. I'm sure pros and non-pros would get overrun with incoming chats and of course when they don't have time to answer, the other person will become angry and it will lead to all sorts of issues.

Just send a message, they'll see it when they see it and (maybe) get back to you in their timeframe.

@SWILSON73X Looks like the bottom line is this: if you are looking to have an actual conversation, you will likely have to have it somewhere else.

  • @SWILSON73X I think I get where you are coming from.
The screen doesn't refresh to show you have a message if you are on the message screen nor does it always show a notification symbol on the messages tab that you have a new message unless you have refreshed your page. That can be very annoying.

It would be nice if there was a way for it to at least show the notification of the new message without having to refresh because I will be reading forum posts and find out I had a message an hour ago. 😅

But I agree with @Mr_Cuddle_Bear that fully live chat could cause more hassle and issues in some cases. 🤔

  • When you receive a new message, you also receive a notification, through email. I don't know about all browsers, but at least some of them can be set to notify you when a new email is received. This second hand notification may not be perfect, but it works.

@SWILSON73X reading between the lines I suspect it's possible you are attempting to arrange sessions with professionals at too short notice. Most professionals are part-time, and many don't even log on every day. Others have childcare or shift patterns to think about.

Most don't accept same day bookings at all, and attempting a next day booking is usually unrealistic.

It's very common to book sessions 1-2 weeks in advance.

In my experience the average time to reply to a first message is .... probably about three days. Given that it takes at least 1-2 days to make the arrangements, your chance of successfully arranging a session for five days time with a professional you have not met before is about 50-50. A chat function wouldn't speed that up by more than a day at most.

That 50-50 assumes that the professional replies and is willing and able to do a session soon. Quite sparately, there is a problem in the industry of professionals not replying to enquiries at all. There are complex reasons for this and although it's annoying it's not worth getting upset about. Just try somebody else.

The procedure most likely to lead to success is read the professional's profile carefully and make sure they can do what you want. (For example, some work only on certain days, or do/don't host.) Click the Request to Book button and write a polite, friendly and brief message in good English outlining what you are looking for. Possible date, time, place, a sentence about your cuddle/touch history and a sentence about the kind of session you envisage. Once you have agreed the details, make the formal Booking on the booking system. The conversation stays on the site for your own safety.

Thanks for explaining the process perfectly.

    Here are some other recommendations:
    1. Have at least a couple of sentences about yourself in your profile. I notice the ones who make an effort and describe their interest in cuddling.
    2. A profile pic of something pleasing, even if generic landscape or one showing your interests helps. Definitely gets my attention and puts you ahead. Or yourself is even better! Maybe look at some other profiles.
    3. It’s really helpful to include a selfie in your first message.
    Best of luck!
Finding a cuddler isn’t impossible at all if you put in thought about what might make you stand out, and what will make someone feel comfortable booking with you.

  • @SWILSON73X Your approach works fine 1 every 1000 times. Keep practicing.

  • From what I've seen I don't think the problem is that the pro is unaware that she has a new message. Maybe sometimes. But more likely she has many unread messages that she is well aware of, but it would take more effort than she wants to invest to sort through them and reply to them. A live chat function would not help this; in fact it would likely make the problem worse. Someone who feels overwhelmed by the 20 unread messages in her inbox is going to feel even worse about constantly receiving live messages that she's expected to reply to.

  • What about a setting option to receive an email notification if you receive a message from a particular user, or an email notification if you receive a message from someone listed as a friend or favourite.

  • Check her last active time on her profile, and you can also search for cuddlers by this (e.g. active within the last week or day). That should help if you're not doing it already.
