Hello all. Today we had the New York meetup and we had a great time, though unfortunately there was a dangerous situation that took place within very close proximity of our group that forced us to end the meetup early.
While no one from our group was involved (beyond being bystanders) and no one from our group was harmed, it was a very emotionally charged event and the organizers of the meetup requested the thread be locked (temporarily) and discussions hidden (again, temporarily.)
You may disagree with my action to comply and that’s fine. Please understand that while I know some of you are eager to talk about it, I just want to be respectful to those who are struggling to cope with this (myself included), so please just give us a moment to process it all.
