What you love about your relationships

What are some of the qualities you love/value most in the relationships you've?

Think of the friendships you've - either from here or which begun out of here - close family/etc - and or life partner(s).

    I have learned from connections I have made on here that you can become close friends with somebody who you have not ever met in the real world. My best friend, who is no longer on this site and lives out of state, I met on here. We have known each other a year and have only actually hung out once but we speak or text daily, we love each other dearly, and consider each other to be like family. As someone who has never had a social media account ever, and who places a lot of importance on the relationships with people in the real world, it is a bit of a foreign concept that takes a little getting used to but I like it.

    I will comment on my relationship with my Honey. The thing that I love about our relationship: he's the best cuddler ever (including me), I love that we have a great partnership, we are supportive of each other's visions and dreams, we take time to communicate and just listen, we are supportive of each other's comittments (our own children, work, activities...), we have each other's backs every second of every day, we treat each other with the utmost respect (even in disagreements), we are open and honest and we love one another completely. These are all the most important things in a relationship, to me.

    Certainly, it's possible! I too have about a two year friendship with someone who lives in another continent. We first met as language exchange partners though like a year in we simply talk as friends and he is so sweet. He is in a relationship which he talks so dearly of.

    For me I would say what I love most about at least one of my friendships is the efforts and open communication. Any challenge we come across or anyway we bug each other - unintentionally - we call each other out in respectful manners and work together to overcome! I think those two are some of the things that really kept us together so long!

    Something I learned... that's a hard question - oh me! :P

    I would say I am glad to have found a few - at least one friendship for certain in which we work together through the hard times and enjoy the good times! Coming to understand *that not every little turn and down hill is an end zone. With openness and respect we can continue to enjoy evermore times! :)
