Cuddling is my fulfillment, That’s why I’m here.

I’m a divorced dad who moved away from his lifelong family and friends almost 9 years ago in order to bring my ex two doors down from her sister and give my kids a better quality of life.

I don’t regret the move but now I face a new life of living alone and having no friends or support here near me. I am literally alone. I have a few acquaintances only, as I spent all my time focusing on my family and was in the circle of friends with my in-laws of which now of which I am out. And with child support and alimony I am on a fixed income so I have to really limit my spending until my kids hit 18. My son is only 11 months away so that helps.

  • Eating at an ayurvedic vegan restaurant, going to a Korean spa for two hours, then yoga class, and then cuddling, all in one day.

  • Wife, Daughter, Sisters, Dogs, Gym

A long day of walking around the city or watching a good movie that lends itself to analysis with friends

Spending time with my daughter. Reading. Book shopping. Cooking.

  • Good thread. I suppose I'll begin with the things most take for granted that makes life, overall, much easier here than in many places around the world: relative peace, stable food supply, electricity, indoor plumbing, air conditioning (summer in Texas... yay!).

Glad also for additional things many people here don't have: family, friends, good acquaintances, stable job

But missing that special someone and the emotional support and investment in one another that that comes with.

So, that's why I am here. Glad CC provides an avenue for some of us to seek out and enjoy a therapeutic physical connection with another human. That people will take time out of their day to come over and give me a hug is awesome, and makes me feel really good!

  • My dogs

  • Reassurance from significant people apart of my life. Planning something and it goes to plan. And also affirmations from this book worry free has been nice. My dog does distract me, often, at just the right times. 🥲

  • Going to the gym, meeting friends, cuddling, healthy diet, sunshine.

I live and work a fairly quiet life so I am very grateful for my critters at home and those I can call/text chat with during the late evening hours.

I have a very solid network of friends but due to my work schedule and living a distance from them actual physically being present time is limited.

My ability to be online and post pictures and snippets of life keeps me connected over the time and distance.

I have a huge sense of enjoyment and satisfaction of keeping everything going at my little farm with minimal outside help. Today is going to be spent fixing fence, moving hay and getting the horses and donkey turned back out on the main feild after last week's rampage through the fence and down the road to the neighbors while I was at work.

Good thread because it makes people look inward to what brings them fulfillment and happiness OTHER THAN cuddling. I think sometimes people get too emotionally invested in one thing, this site for example, and lose site of the fact that there are so many things that make us who we are and so many sources of support in place . It is important to not make this a be all end all for you , and to not make the often intangible interweb connections replace your real world, tangible connections . I have been guilty of this, and deactivated for close to a year in order to regroup and focus and prioritize things.

  • Seeing my kids, aaaallllll the animals, changing from work clothes to comfy gear then getting cozy on the couch, a baby laughing, falling asleep during a thunderstorm, listening to waves while walking the beach & watching the sunset, getting so into a good book that you can't put it down, laughing so hard my belly hurts the next day

Just a few things that bring me joy 😊

  • Mangoes, music, love & cookies

  • Emotional support is fluid. One moment it can be a smile from my daughter, the next it can be the baby finches that hatched in the bird house outside the back kitchen window. When I am on the road I might have a client tell me “I appreciate you” and I feel the dopamine surge. The common denominator is life forms.

  • Hiking, mountain biking, kayaking & helping others - I have have a lot of professional contacts and I have helped several recent college grads find good jobs.

  • Eating breakfast while standing at the back door, looking at the mountains.

Checking things off my to do list.

Hugging my boyfriend when he walks through the door.

Having a voice call with a friend.

Sitting outside with my dog in the fresh air, listening to the birds and watching the wildlife.

    Organizing.
