All in the family was not a comedy, it was a documentary of my childhood. I could swear the character of Archie Bunker was based on my dad. Likewise, I am sure the character of Marie from Everyone Loved Raymond was based on my mom.
As for my favorite classic sitcom, it is a tossup between WKRP in Cincinnati and Mork & Mindy. Big Bang Theory is my favorite sitcom of the past decade.
Night Court is an absolute classic. I loved that show!

@AllAboutSoul - Thank you!!! I dropped cable over a decade ago and just stream shows on my Apple TV when I want to watch something. I had not heard about the reboot. I just watched the first episode and loved it 😊
The Odd Couple I used to watch that with my dad, it was his favorite.
As far as classic (first episode aired over 20 years ago)... that made (and still make) me laugh out loud... and I think have not been mentioned yet in this thread...

I don’t think i’ve ever watched any sitcoms while they were on air just the reruns. But i liked Golden Girls, Cheers, Will & Grace, Friends, Rosanne (the original not the reboot), the nanny, Fresh Prince of Belair. Some of them I don’t think I even finished because I thought the series drug on too long
