Indulge

I like to pamper myself with good food and yummy snacks from time to time(almost daily) - especially when a nice warm cuddle is out of reach. There's also a place down the block that gives hour body massages for $30/hr.

But when I want to go a lil cray-cray and spoil myself I'll hit Burke Williams for a day of massage, foo foo drinks and spoiling.

I also got my hair shampooed and colored by a Pro for the first time ever and almost melted. Warm healing water, the hypnotic white noise of the water and someone massaging your scalp...droolz

How do you splurge or indulge in a way that satisfies you from the top of your head to the tip of your toes?

Good food and good wine are always wonderful indulgences. Like you, I sometimes indulge in a 'foot massage' which is more like a foot and leg and a bit of everything else massage. Usually about $30 for me as well. But that can be hit or miss - meaning some massagers are intuitive and gifted.. others are just going through the motion and do not listen to feedback.

I also love to treat myself to a facial when I really have the money. That can set me back $115 though - so not a weekly or even monthly occurrence. Last one I had was at at Korean spa. Not only did I get the usual potions and lotions but about 20 minutes of divine face massage. I swear I looked at least 5 years younger when I left. Ahhh..... bliss....

  • I get a massage usually every couple of weeks. There is a place up the road that has an amazing shower where you lay on the table and get sprayed with really warm water from all directions while getting scrubbed down. I have a great relationship with my lady I see and typically do 90 min or 2 hrs. I have the drunk stagger afterward due to being so relaxed

@SJSpooner - I run into the same problem with different masseuses. I ask them not to use their elbow on my back...and they still use it. -_- I'm just getting into the field of facials and face masks. Just for a change of pace and something else to soothe my soul.

@pmvines The warm water sounds amazing! I'll have to try that. I've tried the hot stone massage and that was a nice change of pace. Burke Williams has tons of different things to try so going to try as many as I can this year.

I do want to try a fish pedicure as well...but not in a rush for that one. ^_^

  • For me it’s pedicures , sushi and I’ve yet to have a good massage that respects my lower back sensitivity

  • @cuddlebugTM My bestie and I got matching pedis when I visited her over Halloween and believe it or not I still have the polish. Even the details in the jack o lantern are perfect still. I get a kick out of showing it off to unsuspecting people ![](https://i.imgur.com/x9XmWagh.jpg)

  • In case you cant tell the one with hairy legs and gorilla feet is me

I get manicures and pedicures also but I don’t think I would call that indulging for me. I do enjoy it but it’s more just something I do to have fun with my wife. I think indulging for me would be having sessions with pros.

Korean spas. I try to go at least twice a month and I'm considering a membership but can't decide on a favourite to frequent. Such bliss!

  • I am ALL kinds of impressed with this thread. Thanks, @chococuddles, and @pmvines, you're rockin' those toes. I went with my godson (he's 11) and his mom for pedis this past Xmas and we all had lime green toenails - in honor of Minecraft.

My goto is breakfast and mimosas at Katy's Kreek in Walnut Creek. Walk to the library and get a stack o'books. Back to car, home, then a massage at 1 of 2 places downtown. I do the stagger thing back to my car and enjoy the rest of the day reading.

  • I am boring, I don't indulge really. When other people I am with do I will join in to a certain point but that's it.

Getting some great ideas in here. Thanks for sharing.

@JasonCuddles What was your last indulgence? With other people even? A feast? A night of drinks?

  • Food, or even better restaurant, Massage with oil, Floatation, and a great non-fictional book and a glass of wine (or 2) in my bath with bubbles!

  • @chococuddles Last thing I did was a spa type thing with family probably a year and a half ago, though I didn't join in with everything they did for reasons.
