best cuddles

My favorite way to cuddle is when someone lays on my chest or sits on my lap.

  • Serious question here for you @jimboslice5014 : you've been back less than a day form your time out and you're back to repeating your old habits...why do you feel the need to treat the forums as your own personal social media status wall?

You keep posting half a dozen or so one line opinion statements that do not ask the reader to engage in anyway, flooding the feed. Then if people do engage in, which they will because it is an open forum and NOT your personal wall or blog, it swiftly goes downhill because inevitably someone will disagree with you because people are diverse creatures, but you're still treating your post like it's your personal wall and no one is allowed to post if they disagree with you. And when you get upset, the mudslinging starts and then the warnings and timeouts.

So why not change the behavior to change the outcome?

  • How about this? Just post one thread and add to it when you have another one-liner to say.

  • Maybe it would be best to leave this gentleman alone? He seems to be in search of unconditional emotional nurturance, and since none of us is prepared to deliver that, any engagement will be poorly met.

  • Yeah Im a domestic abuse survivor and seek this site for comfort . Easy to judge now isnt it

  • It's not about judgement, @jimboslice5014 , but I think the fact that you jump immediately to thinking that everyone is judging you negatively or is attacking you is part of the problem.

You definitely are not the only DA/DV survivor here (I'm one myself), as the cuddle community tends to draw people who have had trauma. The problem is we cannot let our unhealed traumas cause us to lash out at others. As the saying goes, "hurt people hurt people." It's on us to work on our own healing and to recognize when we need to step away or avoid certain triggers. I specifically don't join certain support communities because they end up being triggers for me. I'm not perfect at it, but I've gotten better and continue working on putting down the phone and walking away from arguments that aren't worth it.

Seeking comfort is one thing - repeating habits that cause us to get triggered is an entirely different one.

  • Maybe I should get off this site .

That's not what anyone is saying, dude. Just perhaps instead of treating the forum like your Facebook wall/Twitter feed/Livejournal/what have you, perhaps try interacting more with existing posts. Engage in conversations that have more to do than with your stream of thoughts. And perhaps consider limiting the number of random posts you create to one or two - you could try creating a draft and save up all those one liners to put into one longer post that you could then get more people to engage with...and if you feel yourself getting triggered by an opposing view, take some deep breaths and walk away.

These are just suggestions, not telling you there's one way to use the forum...it's just obvious the way you've been using it hasn't exactly been working well for you.

  • @jimboslice5014 - Maybe you should take peoples suggestions and you will get along here just fine. Nobody is judging you. We just don't want the forums spammed with posts that don't encourage engagement.

My favorite cuddling positions is face to face and spooning. I would love to try more.
