Going there

I have participated in many different conversations in these forums and have been thanked for my incite into things. I do hope that my candor is appreciated here but if not that's ok I'm putting it out there regardless. I'm going to bring up a discussion that is probably not going to be easy for some of you but I think is important.

Here is the thing, I love this community like a lot of you do. I want to keep it true to it's nature and all of us safe and comfortable. Platonic is the key for every single person on this site. Men and women no one is excluded. This is not a dating or hook up site and a cuddler is not "code" for prostitute. Most of us have this well established.

If you are not aware of this already, if you contact me personally looking for anything sexual I don't hesitate to report you. Many of the females are the same. I'm pretty sure that is well established.

What makes me sad and a new realization is that the men do not report the women breaking the rules. They don't want to stir the pot or whatever their story is. I want to tell you guys this is a minority breaking the rules and only you guys can police this. It's up to you to keep both sides even and accountable. Not to mention those of us that you care about here become in danger because when someone gets the extras from one female they attempt it with subsequent females.

So guys this is for you. If you come across a female operating against the rules on this site. Please do not hold your tongue. Report them and keep our community safe. It's an easy process and only mark sees it and will keep it anonymous. If you have question or need someone to talk to because you are not sure that this is report worthy feel free to message me. I'm happy to listen and remind you guys that it is ok to report this.

Sorry for my long winded post.
Much love and hugs
Ashley

Women do attempt to cross lines for sure. In my limited experience, women have attempted to upsell. I reported them. Only one tried upsell in person others tried in messages. All reported in the past.

  • @curiousgeorge1 I appreciate you. We all do. Thank you so much for doing that

  • I have always held the belief that what two consenting adults choose to do behind closed doors is indeed entirely up to them. However when it comes to the image of this site and the wolves who may come here for the wrong reasons, it is important to make clear that this is not a dating site and when money exchanges hands anything sexual can and will be deemed as prostitution. Which If you want a prostitute, get a prostitute. No issues with sex workers, I actually have known several personally, am even a cuddle pal to one when she is in town (yes cuddle, that's all). But the people on here who are paid cuddlers that is all it is, just cuddling, and I don't want to tarnish that image or put them in compromising positions due to a nudge nudge wink wink mentality of a small handful who wish to allow things that are not in line with platonic cuddling. Not fair for them, and not fair for the image of platonic cuddling .

  • Just a quick comment that this doesn't just apply to pros and clients, it's included in the site's terms of service:

"You agree to never use this Website for the intent of meeting another member for sex. You also agree to never attempt to progress a meeting, organised via this website, to a sexual nature."

I've had one non-professional push the boundaries when we cuddled, but she deleted her account herself. It was a pretty unpleasant experience. It taught me to always have a thorough talk about boundaries beforehand and not assume people are on the same page as you.

  • I want to make it clear that this ABSOLUTELY apples to enthusiasts. I hear guys complain that there are not enough enthusiasts around replying to them. Well if you treat the enthusiasts with less respect and push boundaries more why would they stick around? Really what is keeping them here if you think that because they are doing this for free that it's ok to push more boundaries.

These rules we want this community to abide by goes for men, women, pro and enthusiast. No one is exempt and we all have to count on each other to do the right thing. Police each other as it were.

  • @AshleyCuddles You are correct, this is not a dating site. People who come on here wanting to avoid all of that should be able to feel there is consensus with that. It does not only apply to those who are seeking paid cuddle services.

  • @Ashleycuddles
    “a new realization”? Do tell.

But seriously, thank you for your bravery in expressing your feelings on this issue. I know of forums that promote prostitution and would not be a part of this forum if it did the same.

While I can’t say I understand completely the position of the pro who offers more than cuddling in exchange for money, I do understand the customers’ point of view in accepting or requesting said “extra” services. I don’t agree with it, but I do understand it.

While it may not be possible to influence two parties of a business transaction where they are the only ones who are aware of the transaction details, and appealing to those who knowingly break the Cuddlecomfort rules may not be effective, the truth will come out sooner or later because the wrong person will be offered extras and the pro will be reported.

As for enthusiasts, that may be more difficult to control, but at least informing the members of the rules will discourage them from using CC as a hookup site.

That’s how I see it anyways.

I have a question for @Mark or anyone else who might know: Are there potential legal consequences to CC pros offering sex services?

That might be useful information to the readers and commenters of this thread.

  • @calineur legal repercussions of offering more in the cuddle session? That's easy. It's called prostitution, plain and simple. Prostitution is committing any sexual act in exchange for money. That is illegal and both parties go to jail. Not just the sex worker but the one paying too. Btw that is on your record for the rest of your life so forget doing any job ever that does a background check. They won't hire you. Is that scary enough to dissuade people?

  • Legal consequences depend on where you live of course. In some countries it's perfectly legal.

  • I don’t want this place to be sex work I want it to stay platonic . At the same time I don’t think sex work should be illegal just regulated for safety .

  • I meant could there be legal issues for the CC website? Sorry if that wasnt clear in the question asked.

  • @cuddlebugTM, reading Ashley's comment made me morally uncomfortable. How did we ever make it illegal for one consenting adult to pay another consenting adult to do something that harms no one? Lol. It's not my scene, but who am I to say someone else can't do it? :-P

  • @calineur - @Mark would be the one who knows definitively. My best guess would be that, since all the pro cuddlers here are independent contractors and not employees of CC, the site would not be liable. Mark has clear rules in place stating that this is a platonic website where platonic services only are available.

That's right. It would be a difficult to make a case that CC is liable. In addition to the independent contractor agreements that the Pros electronically sign, there's also a record of all the accounts that have been banned for non-platonic activity.
