Haven't read the whole thread but interesting and thoughtful so far. I figured a username like hitman could go probably one of two ways. Either a potentially unsavory but honest person or someone with a wild but great sense of humor. His reason for using hitman totally makes sense now that i know, but I don't think borderline usernames could ever be conducive for getting a cuddle and are better left unused.
@achetocuddle I thought it was funny because when I was a kid I got into wrestling because my friend was super into it, and Bret Hart was one of my favorites so when I saw hitman the first thing I thought of was Bret “The Hitman” Hart. I thought he was so cool. I wasn’t into it as much when I reached high school but I remember feeling so bad for him when his brother Owen died from that fall.
Actually @Charlie_Bear I don't know who Bret Hart is, Lol, I was just saying the username made sense after I found out it was the name of a famous character. I think adding the anniversary of his first date with his wife is romantic. Really like that.
@stormydaycuddle I still really like your posts. Deeply thoughtful, considerate and so well said.
Little engine that could energy. LETCE
Or UBE, Unresponsive booking energy... Cuddlers choice
@CuddleDuncan ” it's borderline inappropriate”? Now I’ve heard it all. Y’all need to get a grip. It’s a friggin username. And I’ve had two out of dozens of “professionals” respond to and not a single one had an issue with my username. Real people don’t give a sh*t. All of you need to get off of your high horses. You are all, almost all, what’s wrong with social media. Keep pushing…
@hitman_12596 - What's the point of this post if you're going to attack people for giving you suggestions on how to get more professionals to respond?
@Mike403 no worries about suspecting I was a troll. I’ve learned A LOT of people on these forums do the same. I’ve been on site for a while but I’m not on religiously because of my super demanding job and hours. Another reason why the connections I have made have meant so much to me.
@hitman_12596 - A few pros have responded and said your name is off putting. Yes, you'll get somebody every now and then who is able to look passed it, but it might raise red flags to some. What's the big deal changing your name just for this website? You want to give a good first impression to somebody who doesn't know anything about you. If you're dead set on keeping the name, at least put in your profile bio why you chose it.
The amount that I care about all this is so minimal that I seriously do question why I'm even posting.
@pmvines Lol! 😆 Boredom perhaps? The sheer joy of entertainment that such unorignallly mediocre topics such as this brings to your childlike heart? Gotta be something that made you care enough to comment..Come on now, think??? 🤪😝😜
@hitman_12596 keep the name. I wouldn’t worry about it. It only matters to people you wouldn’t want a session with anyways. That being said, what you are experiencing is what a lot of people experience on here. It requires persistence. Seek out advice from those who spend more time in sessions than on these forums 😂
Seek out advice from those who spend more time in sessions than on these forums
I have found this to be very true.
Oddly enough, this topic could have been closed on page 1. The OP asked a question, and one of the responses was to the effect that this gets brought up a lot, check out the already existing topics on the subject. Asked and answered.
Thank you @Mike403, I can add nothing to that.
@WriterGF How many books have been written on similar or perhaps even identical topics? Articles? Essays? How many artists, in their progression of training, mimic past masters? How many songs have been “covered” by new artists? I could go on.
Self expression. The individual journey.
Should we tell those who experienced any kind of assault or abuse, “So what, others before you already suffered that, it’s old news…”???
I appreciate & understand your initial thought of streamlining. However, I believe that each should be allowed to seek out their answers in their way, without contest or spite or diminishment.
Could they “do the research”, sure, I imagine so. But sometimes we don’t know what we don’t know & aren’t readily, immediately aware of all available articles, threads, or iterations on a topic.
Let’s be patient in each person’s respective baby steps. Lest we foul up each one’s genuine & measured development.
@teddybear888 Well put. Although I am not sure comparing someone not getting a message back to people who have been assaulted or abused is apt. Anyone who tries to hire a contractor knows there are some you don't hear back from and some who don't show up. It's rude and arguably bad business, but it is hardly on the level of abuse.
Wether you like the hit man wrestler or not , common sense would tell me that it would quite naturally flag up concerns and caution with others. You can try and justify it but you're doing yourself no favours...in my opinion.
Try..try..try again..that's my policy in cuddling. Once it took me 6 months and repeated messages to get a Pro to cuddle me. Give them some time, once they believe you are serious, they'll respond.
Stage makeup. Sometimes you have to enhance your display to be seen all the way to the cheap seats.
This riffing banter over a username….. again, self expression…. Need we review very very alternative lives of all kinds on here that are seemingly embraced completely? To issue edict on this…. Seems trivial. Ya know, ninja assassins deserve love & cuddles too, dontchyaknow lol. I’m sure we could say the same of John Wick, Salt, or #47? Lol. Everyone needs a escape from the tumult of the world. I’m not saying invite Ghenghis Khan or sign up to be one with assassins guild lol. Just…. Allow for some derivations of personality & expression before putting in a box & assigning an identity shelf.
There is the argument that if the name is concerning to cuddlers, that they should responsibly vet the person even more.
The interesting thing about SNs is that it doesn't really matter why you chose it -- the context could be as innocent as could be -- all that matters is how other people are perceiving it.
@WriterGF and that is one of many reasons why people are so fake because they are only interested in impressing other people rather than being true to themselves we have evolved into a world of actors, dependent on other peoples validation
Basically if you’re not someone who actively gets cuddles then you probably should wait to give advice until that changes?
@jplemmon - Not sure what that has to do with anything. A few pros commented and said that the name was off putting to them.
@Mike403 and I said those were the ones he is better off without. You don’t need to repeat what they said. Go by your own experience ok? Case closed.
@lonelytauros But on a site where you are trying to attract attention from other people, an SN is just another form of advertising yourself. Arguably, you are here to get a cuddle, so isn't it about making yourself as attractive to a potential cuddler as possible? If he called himself, I don't know, ProWrestlingFan, would he be being somehow less true to himself?
@jplemmon - This thread was created because most pros aren't responding to him. We are giving suggestions on how to get more successful on here.
