Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is the goat for me
Just got into a game called CrossCode because of it's OST. The title theme music found its way to me on Spotify, and something about it clicked with me. I'm now nearly done with it at the time of writing.
@Charlie_Bear I can get behind that. Old Nintendo and SEGA soundfonts hit different.
oh god, here comes my inner nerd. My love of video game music where I actually bought the OST began with Final Fantasy 7.
But, my favorite OST of all time are: 1) Bayonetta (Let's Dance Boys and Fly me to the Moon!!) 2) God Hand (I'm a beat em up fan, this is like the greatest and funniest game of all time too!) 3) Anarchy Reigns (it's got like 35 all original hip hop songs and some cool jazz instrumentals) 4) Nier (I like it more than Automata) 5) Final Fantasy 7 (but the series, really) 6) Sonic CD (but the series, really) 7) Space Channel 5 (it's got freaking Michael Jackson in it!!!) 8) Parappa the Rapper (kick punch it's all in the mind)
Honorable mention has to go out to Nintendo for the first level of Super Mario Brothers....it's like the most iconic video game music of all time. The music in the new trailer for Super Mario Bros Wonder is AWESOME!!!!
A big shoutout for Tommy Tallarico is also owed because he really put video game music on the map. Earthworm Jim and Cool Spot are two of my favorites of his.
I doubt I will ever be in a relationship ever again, but if I do I think I am going to have to be with a woman who is a gamer, and not a casual one either.....haha

@MrAdmirer The soundtrack to PaRappa the Rapper is always in my head.
Mass Effect 2 Suicide Mission is one of my all time favorites, it builds upon itself beautifully.
Skyrim is a good runner up. 👍

The whole game has a pretty amazing soundtrack, but this is one that I like to listen to in the evening to wind down

@Lisa123 as I mentioned in my post, Super Mario is probably the most iconic music piece in video game history. @GrayKunz That's a good pick too, man I love the Tenchu series. Sekiro is like a modern day upgrade, but I would love another true Tenchu title. @lonelytauros another great pick. Once the CD format was introduced to gaming the music really cranked it up a notch!
